First, we go up against Pitt, who comes into the game with their conference player of the year at running back. A guy who shredded us last year. A stud. He gets hurt, they have to play a freshmen RB in his place, and we squeak out a last second victory. With their star RB, odds are, they win.

Next, we go up against RB U in Wisconsin, who have torched opponents in the past decade with their running game. They seem to have a stud at the position every year, from Gordon the past few years to Ron Dayne. Their stud this year gets hurt and watches the game from Germany. Instead, they play a freshmen RB. Hawks squeak out a win.

Now we go up against 4-1 Illinois, and word is their stud RB got hurt in their last game and will not suit up against the Hawks.

Next week, we go up against Northwestern, who has a RB who leads the nation in carries and is near the lead in yards. He has to go up against hard hitting Michigan this week, and if the pattern continues, will come into the Iowa game black and blue.

After years and years of the worst luck ever at RB, it sounds like things have shifted in our favor. Canzeri is overachieving and staying healthy. Daniels was nicked up a little, but only missed one game. Wadley is still at 100%.

Wisconsin was having a difficult time moving the Iowa defensive line off the ball, and most often Iowa had one defensive player penetrate their blocking scheme...No running back does well when this happens.

It doesn't have to do with a Running Back God...

On defense, Iowa seems to be playing some old fashioned Iowa head busting...

Daniels is dinged and Mitchell didn't even make the trip to Wiscy. I'd say AIRBHG is very close to making this season the CJB Show just like he did with Tate in 2004(?).

Consider yourself the BLACKCAT.

This ... Iowa has been far from unscathed at RB.

While I love Wadley's upside, he definitely has areas to improve in. Past him, the only other RB we have who isn't redshirting is Joly.

Wadley needs to cure his fumblitis and get on the field. He's dynamic and he's a difference maker. I also love his enthusiasm that he shows on the field.

This is like the GoFundMe page to invite Bartman to the Cubs-Pirates playoff game. It's just a bad idea and no good can come of it..

So I say to the almighty AIRBHG, please forgive OP. Should you feel it necessary, in your wisdom, to smite someone, may you smite him in place of our Canzeris and our Danielses. Perhaps a flat tire? Seems ironic enough...

LOL Damnnnnnnnnn. There are a lot of superstitious hawk fans out there. :) I was just pointing out an objective fact that we have lucked out avoiding a ton of stud running backs thus far and have squeaked by with close wins as a result.

But you guys are right, I would much prefer to take on any high ankle sprains that may be doled out to our own players rather than it be bestowed upon them. Let me serve as a lightening rod for all possible RB injuries.

Dear God, man, you are playing with fire. May AIRBHG have pity upon your soul... er, ankles.

Thanks OP. I have been dying to see Wadley. Thanks to you, I'll get my chance!
Btw, with Daniels dinged up, we aren't totally unscathed either.
For the official record, I want to see Wadley getting carries, but I hope he gets them without any RB casualties on the depth chart.

Everyone needs to calmly (& IMMEDIATELY) begin to slowwwwly separate your physical person from your smartphone/computer (even as you're reading this)...and move to a different town and start over. Your life as you've known it is over, lest the unspoken one roareth like a lion. Adopt a new screen name and cut your hair.

What are "ideas" better than tempting AIRBHG.
