Rutgers is good

@MrsScrew , you have a good coach and a good team!

Thanks! Great game by both teams. It's too bad you guys aren't coming to the RAC this year. Our student section is officially sold out for the rest of the year as are the next 2 games.. The RAC will be rocking.

@RUChoppin I do miss guido/hillbilly week. Good times.
This is a great (well mostly great) thread and it's been great interacting over here this week.
My signature statement still stands:

Rutgers fan here.
Great game Iowa. The Hawkeyes are good , very good and right now just a bit better than Rutgers. Garza is a beast , likely POY in the Big Ten. Physically dominant down low but agile enough to hit shots from perimeter. But what really surprised me most last night was Iowa's improved defense from last year and toughness on the boards. It was a real battle between two fine teams. Good luck the rest of the season.....

It really was a great game. Both teams threw haymakers and the other team got up off the canvas and made their run. Rutgers was very athletic Defensively, they were in our players shorts all night, that's effort and that's a good thing.

I kept waiting for Fran to start backdooring them because of the constant pressure, but that never materialized. Either way, Rutgers looked good, they certainly made the Hawks earn it, which to their credit they did.

Was very impressed with Rutgers coach Steve Pikiell and the team that he's put together here,... Good luck Rutgers with the rest of the season....

Edit:
The above 2019-20 luck will be temporarily rescinded during any tournament play match up occurring with Iowa.

Had the same thought last night. Rutgers truly impressed me with their stingy defense. It will serve them well in the Big Ten. Iowa was very lucky that Rutgers missed the contested layup on their last possession. The outcome could've been much different had it gone in the basket. Ybola and Harper are legit, big time players. We should all be thankful Iowa doesn't have to go to the RAC to face the Scarlet Knights this season. God help us if they face each other in the BTT.
