Ok, Rutgers is the legit arm pit of the Big 10 since they arrived. Should have never been invited/accepted into the conference.
However, maybe they are on a path upward?

Well one you live in Iowa so you lose before we even get started.
Our basketball team is better than yours.
I literally saw one of the worst Rutgers football teams ever, 2016, play Iowa at home. You won by the skin of your ass.
Not impressed by Iowa sports and certainly laugh at your academics.

Huh? How many girls did your football team bounce off of parking lots a couple years ago? You are really going to call out Iowa given the issues Rutgers football has had?
You guys have a good young team and have a bright future. Why you choose to play the east coast bigoted elitist card is beyond me but carry on. You are doing a fine job of making yourself look stupid.
Rutgers coach Chris Ash told NJ Advance Media the six players are part of an ongoing investigation and their future status with the program will be determined by the outcome of the probe.
Rutgers University Police is handling investigation, which focuses on allegations of credit card fraud. NJ Advance Media first reported the news about the investigation on July 13.
Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse at Rutgers, things got a whole lot worse at Rutgers.
Five Rutgers football players were arrested Thursday for their involvement in myriad crimes committed by a host of people. There are 10 defendants in total over multiple cases, but five currently are members of a Rutgers football program making an endless stream of headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Sophomore defensive back Dre Boggs was charged with robbery, burglary while armed, conspiracy to commit an armed robbery and attempted burglary while armed in multiple home invasions.
Separately, a group of six people — including four Rutgers players — were charged with aggravated assault, riot and conspiracy to commit a riot after attacking a group of people back in April. Those players were junior defensive back Ruhann Peele, junior defensive back Nadir Barnwell, sophomore full back Razohnn Gross and junior defensive back Delon Stephenson.
Great post, Chris Ash grew up in Iowa, guy is a fcking idiot. Now I see the connection
If you're going there, then Iowa has nothing like Bergen, Monmouth, Ocean and Morris Counties as far as wealth and beauty. They are (sorry were) your players champ and your school let them in. Were they all going to be Criminal Justice majors? Nice try at deflection but you got owned in a 15 second Google search. Good news is that Camden went from top 5 to # 8 in America's most dangerous cities. Keep your chin up.
By the Des Moines RegisterIowa was rated the Best State in the Nation to live in at the end of last year.
You won't get anyone with that unoriginal troll bait.

We have Reynolds and Steve King in office and lost to ****ing Rutgere at home. Aka we suck at everything. My God, have you ever been to New Jersey?!
Lol, New Jersey!
OMG, someone from the shit-hole know as New Jersey is actually making fun of ANY other part of the country!Well one you live in Iowa so you lose before we even get started.

And you're probably from New JerseyIsn't Iowa just one giant corn field? Is there anything to do there at all? If I grew up there I would move to civilization first chance I got. There is a reason Iowa is a nothing fly over state.
If you play the name the 50 states game and you're stuck on 49... you're probably forgetting Iowa
Don’t forget Somerset and Hunterdon counties, although every person Inhave met from Iowa has been incredible nice, so there that.If you're going there, then Iowa has nothing like Bergen, Monmouth, Ocean and Morris Counties as far as wealth and beauty.

The OP was stupid but you had to one up him.
Your logic would imply that Iowa is better than Michigan given our double digit win over them.
At the end of the day, you're a 14-14 basketball team while Iowa will be playing in the tournament.
No reason to trash either Iowa or New Jersey over a basketball game. How about some good sportsmanshipOk, Rutgers is the legit arm pit of the Big 10 since they arrived. Should have never been invited/accepted into the conference.

Ignorant point of view... sounds like saying the US should never have invited/accepted Iowa statehood in 1846 (things were fine before they joined).

Or the US News and World Report.....By the Des Moines Register
Sorry, I should clarify. Definitely nothing against NJ or Rutgers as a university...but more so their athletic program has provided very little benefit to the Big 10 thus far.
Bottom tier performance year over year in the revenue sports? Can the Rutgers MBB turn the corner?
You think Iowa picks who they schedule for their last home conference game? WowDew you ignorant slut.
This is more about what a state of disarray the Iowa Hoops program is in.
People who are top notch surround themselves with other top notch people. That is true whether you are talking about business or coaching.
Last month Iowa beats Rutgers by a couple on the road with Frannie at the helm. Any conference road win is a good win.
This month with Frannie bounced from this game, Rutgers embarrasses Iowa at home by double digits on Senior Day. SENIOR DAY....the day you schedule someone you should beat.
Frannie can only surround himself with the caliber of people that cannot beat this Rutgers team. That should be yesterday's takeaway.
We have recently suffered through a perfect storm of controversies and missteps in MBB and Football, otherwise many of us believed we were entering the BIG slightly above several long term lower tier schools. Unfortunately for us we are now digging out from the Rice and Flood mistakes, and we have to overcome the limitations of a bad FB hire in Ash (Ottumwa, IA), so we will struggle a bit longer in FB.
Keep in mind we are still far behind in revenue share and facilities, but this gap is closing. What we clearly have going for us is some of the most fertile HS recruiting grounds right here in NJ and surrounding states for hoops, football, soccer, and wrestling. Look at Big10 rosters and you see Jersey kids in starring roles on many. They never had a reason to stay home and represent. At the very least they now can consider it. As that happens it will be our gain and a loss for the other teams.
In addition several of our teams have been competitive and we are certainly on the rise in wrestling and basketball. Our last 3 games against you in hoops and our only football game against you indicate we aren’t always a pushover. A competitive Rutgers will bring crazy attention in TV MARKET #1, that will be good for the BIG.
One last point, we have an enormous and affluent alumni base that is just starting to donate. So yeah, we are certainly capable of turning the corner as long as our admins an AD don’t screw up.
BTW, for what it’s worth I have ALWAYS rooted for Iowa over other BIG schools (especially the psu Cult).
Lot of interest in B10 in NJ. Don’t forget NYC employees lots of B10 grads many of whom live in NJ. Most B10 schools represent pretty well at our games.NY is a prime market, but how much interest is there in Rutgers/B10 sports?
If not Rutgers in the NY market, what college school pulls in the most interest there?

The year Greg Schiano had Rutgers in the national spotlight (2006), Rutgers was the talk of the town over the Giants, Jets, and Eagles. A typical press conference would have 30 to 40 local media personnel from NJ, NYC, and Philly. The Empire State Building was lite in Scarlet the day of the Louisville game. The bottom line is that this area has so many options the pro teams get all the juice. As far as college goes most folks go with the winner. You walk into a local HS and you will see kids wearing Notre Dame, Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Villanova, etc. gear ... in addition to Rutgers. But for the most part it’s Yankees, Giants, Jets, Eagles, GS Warriors, Devils, Rangers, Steelers, Cowboys, etc.
When Rutgers had a little bit of success in football you started to see all the fair weather fans wearing scarlet. Winning cures all.
