Ryan Bowen, Head Coach & NBA Champion

go back to Wisconsin
Garza as a SR did this.
50 blocks
21 stl
178 defensive rebounds

just what in the hell was he supposed to do. gee whiz he was the NPOY. they don't pass those like candy to just anybody. also he was constantly DBL teamed and triple teamed.

he was damn good for a 2 time 1st Team AA.

Being double or triple teamed has nothing to do with defense. Nor do steals and blocks have anything to do with effective ballscreen defense.

And go watch any game of that kid's career and his defense was abominable. Worse than Hunter Dickinson. Gonzaga stands out bc it was a marquee game where his defense was especially awful.

you mean where Garza scored 30 points, 10 rebound of which 9 were defensive. 3 blocks, when Gonzaga was rated #1 in D1 BB, Gonzaga made a lot bigs look nad that year.
go crawl back into your f'n hole from which crawled out of.

against # 15 UNC in that same year he did this
16 Points
14 rebounds 7 offensive and 7 defensive
2 assists
1 steal
4 blocks
1 TO
in 35 minutes of playing time

cherry picking at its finest.

Lmao

Sure thing, Coach. Good defense is oftentimes non-quantifiable. If you don't realize that, then I'm not sure what to say. 2 simple clips of that kid guarding ballscreens is enough to make clear he was absolutely horrific. The worst I've ever seen.

Do you actually watch the games, or wait by your computer for the stats to come out? Luka got pretty good at walling off near the basket on defense, but if you moved him more than 10 ft from the basket, he was just too slow. Not really Luka's fault, because he worked his a$$ off to be in better shape and get quicker, but he just couldn't guard pick and roll or a player with a perimeter game.

use another example other than the #1 team in D1, AND yes I do and did watch the game. if he was so bad why did he get drafted?

that's right I was a AAU BB coach so I know what I am talking about. Garza also played against smaller and faster players,

6'7 - 6'9 players tend to be fasters, than 6'11 player especially when he was over weight, since he has been in the NBA he has trimmed down 20 lbs to 240 lbs and has no problem keeping up with those NBA players.

you may be using Dean's name and that's it. again a know nothing poster on the msg board trying to trash a former player that ended up a 2 time 1st team AA and the NPOY but hey at least you have Houstonredhawk to back you up with your trashing one of the best Hawk's

AAU isn't real basketball. Which is why more and more Europeans are coming here and kicking the ass of domestic American players.

I prefer you not burn any bridges with me, since I do somewhat enjoy your posts. And am one of your few allies on here when u start bringing up the issue of race.
