It is actually a pretty good beer and I really enjoy it but it seems too early to be drinking it since it is still August. I will wait until September before I buy any Octoberfest beers. Feels like seasonal beers are getting released earlier every year.

OctoberFest is a German cultural event complete with
Polka's and Accordions. Of course, the German Steins
filled with German beer is part of the ritual. This is a big
deal in German communities in the Midwest where the
folks still like to trace their German ancestry.

I had a particularly fine brew last night at our hotel bar. Conductor Craft Ale. Probably too bitter for some tastes. Have had 12-15 different craft beers the past few days. Most were pretty good. Spent an hour or two at the Refined Fool Brewery in Sarnia, which I would recommend to any beer lover. Funky little place. No food. Wooden tables. A pass-through to the outside where there are some chairs for people who want to sit on the sidewalk and watch traffic.

What a lame comment. Sam Adams has pumped out some really solid beers the last couple years. I would put Rebel Rouser up against any IPA.

I don't generally like summer and fall beers, but the Oktoberfest is one of my favorites of the seasonal s Be careful buying it this early.... I've seen a couple places put out last years production this time of year.

I bought the sampler. It had October, pumpkin, Boston lager, and the hoppy red. All were pretty solid.
