That left handed put back falling away was…nice!
Sanfort had been impressive the few minutes he plays for most of the season. Not just today. He should be first or second off the bench.

Sandfort is really a heady player and really smooth. Fun to watch.

Yes, Nebby sucks. But OTOH, Sandfort gets his shot off quickly, has good upper body strength, appears to be a decent rebounder, a decent defender, and generally smart with the ball. "Nightmare" is probably an overstatement, but will eventually be a good, solid BIG player.
I’m disappointed, Hawk fans are so conditioned for mediocrity they are praising the potential of a bench player off a .500 B10 team in Frans 10th(?) year.

Putting Ivey and Plummer in the same sentence is laughable.
Nobody in the country can stay in front of Ivey one on one. He'll be one of the fastest guys in the nba.
Sandfort is going to be an excellent player in the big ten.
Hes a solid defender and all around player and a potential elite shooter at 6'7.
Isn't Plummer a senior?

Nice to see him lead the team with 8 rebounds, in 17 minutes.
I am not sure about nightmare but the BIG thing I noticed was when he put the ball on the deck with about 4 dribbles driving it up the right side of the lane for a layup. first that is the type of thing that makes it hard for defenders to rush out at the 3 pt line to block a shot, Sandfort can use that dribble drive to deform the defense and to set him up for easy shots, and it is just good to draw some fouls going to the rim.
He is going to be a really nice big ten player. Shooter who can handle a bit, high release and not afraid to mix it up.

I'd argue that nearly every B10 champ and Sweet 16 team has 1 or more 3 point assassins who can also score in other ways, and who can rebound and defend, like PS. Their entire rotations aren't guys with 40" verticals
That drive to the hoop was nice.
I think he's just scratching the surface.
Hes got a fantastic feel for the game. Right now he's moving a little too fast but once it slows down for him he's going to be a very effective player.

For all his talent as a shooter, he’s equally good at passing and plays extremely smart. Solid defender and rebounder. He will be All Big before he is done. Another under recruited Fran gem.
I always laugh at the internet coaches because one bad game and they'll want him run out of Iowa City!!
You left out what a pretty stroke it is. I also like the fact that he never hangs his head if he misses a shot. Terrific upside.

Of course they're terrible. One of the worst D1 teams in the country without a doubt. With that said Sandfort has looked really good the last few games.
And in what world would he be defending either one of those two? I guess the one where you would be the coach.
His release is really quick. Doesn't need a lot of space to get a shot up

Last 3 games have shown he deserves Connor’s minutes. Adds so much more than him. But unfortunately connor will continue to be the 1st or 2nd player off the bench…

You do realize that Connor and Sandfort played together about 90% - 95% of the time today, right?
Also, I’m sure you know that Kris and Toussaint were the 1st and 2nd players off the bench in both halves.

Sandfort has shown flashes but he is still learning. And growing. And making mistakes.

It’s perfectly fine to say Sandfort deserves more minutes. Right or wrong, it’s fine to say. Just leave it at that. It’s like they can’t help themselves, even if they have no clue what they’re talking about.
I think he will be a starter next year. He appears to be a solid rebounder also for a SG/SF.
I was the guy who said Keegan was the second best defender on the team and should have been starting.
