Crowds mean people like the place! The only way to reduce crowds is to turn it to shit or make it too expensive so that only the well off can afford to go. Which seems to be in keeping with what you like to do.

Park Rangers should not be involved with park maintenance. They should be like park cops and doing science stuff.

Private industry will give you a shittier experience and shittier services at a national park. Guaranteed. Go to a Shell station bathroom off the highway. Go into a government built rest area the next exit to use the restroom. I guarantee you have a shittier experience in the privately owned Shell station, and yes, that's a pun.

we should go to the canadian park model where you actually build/have a working town within the park, rather than having the park infrastructure be built "as" infrastructure and then contracted out to aramark to manage.

Go to Banff or Jasper sometime. It works splendidly. Or at least it did in Jasper until the fire last year. (Incidentally, if any of you are ever inclined to throw a little cash at a kickstarter type of campaign, consider the old Jasper Patricia Street Deli, which burned down last year, and whose owners are an institution, and perhaps the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met, anywhere, in the entire world.)
