Screwy Schedule

I literally posted this using a 1/3 of the space with Docthermans tweet.

Scott has an error (Wisconsin has 6, not 7).

He also does not mention the worst team in the league having 5 (compared to Iowa's 3).

Scott also does not break down the totals by how many fall on Fri, Sat and Sun.

And as I mentioned, one of Iowa's 3 weekend home B1G games falls on Super Bowl Sunday, which Scott also does not mention.

I am surprised that you were offended by what I was typing up and posted 1 minute after your post.

I'm not offended. Didn't realize he had those errors. Thanks.

So now, we have a week between games and then play four in ten days. Did the Minnesota game get re-scheduled or was this the original plan? Either way, it doesn't do us any favors.
Yeah, this schedule is brutal. We start out the season playing the best teams in the BIG.. There are some weeks playing 1 game, then another playing 3. We end the season with last 2 games on the road which will likely be senior nights.UGH

Well he may not have been "complaining" , but he sure as hell had alot to say right there without actually saying it. Sorry, but TV, whatever, thats BS. There's NO defense whatsoever for some teams having 7 or 8 weekend home games and others having 3. NO defense, none. This topic of Iowa not drawing at home games comes up a lot, and this right here shows what were up against. I don't buy onto the conspiracy theory crap, BUT , honestly, does ANYONE actually belief that MSU would get bent over like that in the schedule? Or for that matter that the crap calls that happened at the end of each half against Rutgers would happen to Izzo's army? Not a chance in hell...

i would love to see how the games are selected by the networks and how dates/times are assigned because when you think about it, you have BTN, ESPN, ESPN2, Fox, FS1, CBS, etc, all selecting games for various time slots.

The goal of the B1G is to maximize revenue, and they seem to be doing a good job at that.

Iowa seems to do a good job selling tickets because we seem to always be in the top 25 in "attendance." Scanned tickets, of course, is a much different number.
Sold tickets are all that matters. For Barta.
