Scum of the Earth

Just because I've been driving a lot lately: Middle lane cruisers. A lot of I-65 in Kentucky is 3 lanes. Pisses me off to no end to come up on a slight bottleneck and have trucks doing 65 in the middle lane of a 70 zone. Going down I-55 leaving Chicago last night and there were lots of people clogging the middle lanes around Bolingbrook.
Plus, I pulled off of 290 on Wednesday on Damen to go to a DDD place called Irazu (Quite tasty, by the way). The bum that sauntered up to knock on my window kept dropping McDonalds fries out of his mouth as he asked for money through my rolled up windows. If you are begging for money for heroin, try and look professional.

I cruise in the middle lane all the time. It is the lane for thru traffic. The right lane is for traffic that is exiting the road or merging onto the road. The left lane is for passing.

Why not just go around middle lane cruisers on the left?

Keep going, fellas. This is one of the better threads in quite some time that hasn't taken a nasty political tone.

Because it winds up with people doing 64 in the right lane. 65 in the middle lane. And, people doing 68 in the left lane.

Anyone who rings my doorbell without an appointment. JFC, why are people still doing this in this day and age? I've talked to neighbors who have no soliciting signs up and they say it doesn't even phase them. Suspect half the morans don't know what soliciting means

I've had a no soliciting sign on my front door for a few years. It did cut down on the number of rings, but it certainly did not prevent it all together. And yes, anyone that rings that bell now is a real winner. The most recent was a guy wanting to ask me which cable service we have, and if I had considered satellite. What followed was an argument about what constitutes soliciting. The focal point of his argument was, "Bro, it ain't soliciting unless there is product in hand." Needless to say, he was not successful in getting me to switch over to whatever service it was that he was peddling... (If he even was legit in the first place, which I strongly doubt...)

Scum of the earth was the 2 douchebags at subway today on the phone the entire time through the line. Guy said huh twice when she asked what kind of bread. Huh again on type of meat another huh for cheese, and it took each one 5 min to pick out veggies. Never once did either stop talking. Scum of the earth. I about sucker punched them in the back of the head. Places like pita pit, subway, pancheros ect should refuse service to people on phones.
Nice post Popeye...running down old people...you just got my vote for "Scum of the Earth"...now get back to your bottle of Ripple please.

Lol.I'm pretty sure this woman hadn't bathed for awhile. So what gives this woman the right to stink out in public? I'm pretty tolerant but she STANK!
Cheers!

Sounds like we need to come up with a more specific sign. How to keep the words to a minimum without scaring away the people you do want to ring?

dirt is right 100% on this one
Sounds like the blame should either be on the people not speeding enough for you in the left lane or you, for driving dangerously in whatever lane you are in.

Then the problem is with the guy going 68 in the middle lane. The middle lane is the cruising lane. If you put all of those people in the right lane then things would be much worse as they're clogging/slowing down everyone exiting and entering the interstate.

Television providers and wired phone providers are really hurting. They now have to resort to door-to-door sales in the case of TV. I had a DTV d2d guy ask me this summer if I'd be interested in cancelling my current account to then re-sign up with him. I told him promoting intentional churn would probably get him and whatever resaler he worked for fired from selling DTV.

He left after that.

I get a bunch of spam mail every week. I get 5 different mailings every week from Mediacom, 3 from Century Link and a couple a week from DTV. And I already am customers of CL and DTV! Evidently I don't spend enough every month with both.

You'd think after 12 years of living at the exact same address and never purchasing their products that Mediacom would get the hint.

In other mail spammers, I have gotten the exact same offer letter from State Farm for the last 12 years begging me to switch to them. One day a few years back, I called and requested a quote, seeing if they could save me the $500 they claimed they could.

They were 22% higher. I asked them to remove me from their mailing lists, since their mailer info was lying to me. They retorted that the savings claims were based across several factors including where I lived, and a bunch of other crap. I then told her, you sent this to me with this claim - don't you already know those factors when you mailed it to me? I was then told of course told I had to go to yada yada yada and fill out some idiot form blah blah blah to get removed.

I still get the same letter, once a week.

Mail spammers, you are my scum of the earth.
