As a Vikings fan my biggest fear is losing in painful fashion.

I must say it would be tough to beat the Bengals for painful loss.

You knew it was coming didn't you? Vikings have perfected the choke. I gave up being a fan after Andersen.

I still haven't recovered from that game and honestly, that game is why I really only have a mildly passing interest in the NFL these days. I can only handle so many teams that always find a way to blow championships and between Iowa's football team and the Cubs to get heavily invested in another one would force me to get some prescription meds.

I also think that's why the funniest episode for me of "How I met your mother" was the one where Marshall takes Robin to the Vikings bar and all they can do is be pissed off about that game.

The Gary Anderson game, & '87 CG vs. Redskins both left me major scar tissue, but it was just before the Farve INT vs. the Saints in '09, when I actually let myself believe the Vikings were headed to the Superbowl for a second. Vowed it would never happen again.
