I want to see it official because I’m just on cloud 9, but IF this goes down, Iowa has the best coach in college basketball

Iowa Head Coach Ben McCollum sounds way better than any of those.
Too bad it wasn’t Lester. Some heads would explode in the ickier corners of the state
Dix and Thelwell would both be a GREAT fit for McCollum's coaching. I think Freeman and Harding long gone. Not so sure about other players, but Pryce, Koch, and Dembele could probably be brought back if McCollum wants them. I think about half of Drake's players, especially Stirtz, Banks, Manyawu, and Howard, could come with him.
I he'd have to do a hell of a sales job on these guys, or throw more $$. They may really be hurt by Fran's firing. Fran was close to these guys, very close. They may be really pissed off at Beth & don't ever want to set foot on the BBall court again with her being their public enemy number one.
Just an observation.
Dix & Pryce will be getting a nice NIL package, wherever they end up. So yes, throw money at em.
I don't see Dix coming back due to family and monetary reasons, but if Pryce indicates a willingness to come back, you don't think BM would be interested?
I’d certainly take him but I wouldn’t throw a lot of money at him. If he brings his core group of guys we will need a shooter. I mean both Dix and Sandfort would certainly be nice additions, but Dix looked unhappy most of the season. I’d take them but Dix is going to get big money somewhere else. Pryce if the money is right and he wants to stay definitely.

Pryce Sandfort is a defensive liability. 15 years of shit defenders and soft rebounders. I’m ready for a new chapter. Besides, there are/will be dozens of portal players who can replace Sandfort’s 9ppg and play tough defense. Hit the road.

Selfishly, Stirtz, Dix and Thelwell would sure be a great backcourt. Dix is worth a lot of $$$, and if Iowa has more money, he is the guy I would pay. Thelwell would come for much less, if he has eligibility. I would also pay for Koch. The transfer from Miami would also do well under McCollum. Not sure about the recruits Fran got commitments from.

Since people seem to be against starting new BMC threads, I will just tack this on here.
Did anybody think his T was legit? Well, at least his complaint? He wasn't complaining about the block/charge, but about the foul on the arm. The announcers totally missed that. They were focused on the block/charge aspect. The kid got hacked on the arm clearly.
Not saying a T was justified at that point in the game, but it was a bad miss by the crew.

How could you tell Dix looked unhappy? His demeanor hardly ever changed.
I know his players call him that, but let’s get away from Mac or Coach Mac on here! Haha
