Senate Democrats just blocked the Laken Riley act

Oh, I thought they were human beings, and by the way, if they are here, they have rights. That must be really hard to understand.
No one denies they’re human beings.
You could have stopped there and it would have been fine.

Why do they want to deport illegal immigrants who commit violent crimes? That increases the risk of them simply crossing back into the United States and committing another violent crime. Put them on trial and if convicted make them serve their sentence here so we know justice is being served.

Actually, it does specify person, not citizen. And has been determined multiple times that non-citizens, illegally in the country, do have rights based on the constitution. The The Fifth Amendment, sometimes called the rights of persons...

We’re sending them out of the country, not killing them

I am 100% for vastly different immigration laws/procedures from the current system, which has been broken for 30+ years. Still, I am against letting a criminal/murderer go free in his or her home country with zero repercussions.
If there is a discussion about harsher penalties for people who enter illegally, similar to hate crime legislation, all in.

Dems want a trial first while repubs want to act as judge and jury first and then ship them out like livestock.
Well, in all fairness, they came in like livestock.

I don’t disagree, but once a person serves time, they go south

How do we change this, another amendment?
