Even if you sentence him to death, the appeals process is going to have him sitting in a jail cell for years.

My point is that if an undocumented immigrant is accused of committing a violent crime here in the United States then I want him to stand trial here in the United States and serve his sentence here in the United States.

That way we know justice is being served and we’re not relying on some third world legal system to protect us from recidivism.

Aren’t there other cases where those who are here illegally have been deported for (far less serious)crimes and they’ve returned?
I also seem to recall a DUI death caused by an illegal who’d previously been deported more than once?
Small comfort to the family to note that the enormous flood of illegal entrants has overwhelmed the apparatus in place at the border. If it were just a trickle who knows if the known criminals would still have come through.
