I don't see a PBP but Gilman by pin in the 3rd. I believe Gilman was up 3-2 with RT and he threw Garrett to his back after Garrett's escape after Gilman secured RT.

3rd period, the score WS 3-2 Gilman, and he also had over 1 minute of riding time when the pin occurred

Thomas Gilman has a message for Iowa fans:

Gilman just pinned the returning national finalist. But we should fire all of the coaches, burn the wrestling room down and fold the program.

It was 3-2 Gilman with under a minute and 1:06 RT in Gilman's favor (so basically a TD by Garret would have won it) when Garret shot it with elbows out and Gilman pancaked him for the fall.

Yowser! That's taking care of business Thomas! 2-0 against a very tough Garrett this year. Well done.

Can't wait for the rematch with Waters, win or lose it should be entertaining.

tOSU lose at 125 and 197. Iowa dominate on the backside and have Clark win. It would have to be a monumental collapse.

Sorenson with a nice slide by and gets around for the TD 2-1 Sorenson
Has RT and Villalongs kicks out for the late escape 2-2 end of 2nd

Sorenson out quickly 3-2
Scramble and Sorenson trying for the defensive fall
Villalonga in trouble but gives up the TD 5-2
Sorenson tries to turn him late, nothing
6-2 final Sorenson wins

Agreed. Usually always offensive. Dying breed, really. Glad he got a standing O from the crowd.

Brandon did all the things he does really well in this match. Very nice win. Now a rubber match with Tsirtsis. Hope he goes after him.

Watching Ian Miller and James Green, it just amazes me how Green and Jordan Burroughs are able to go right thru people on those double legs! Thing of beauty.

Sorensen wins it 6-2 with riding time! He'll face #2 Jason Tsirtsis (NU) in the 3rd place match up

Yep - very good match. Kept on his offense the whole time; the only reason no score after 1 is because Cornell constantly backed away. But BS stayed aggressive, finally got his takedowns, wore him down on top, and even went for a tilt at the end.

Great job; and it gave him practice for Tshirt.
