*** Official CFP Quarter Finals Mega Thread ***

Other than the 4th quarter plus OT of the Texas/ASU game these playoff games have not been entertaining. So far the majority of the meaningless bowl games have been way more competitive and fun to watch. Maybe Notre Dame/Georgia tomorrow will live up to the hype. I was expecting the Oregon/Ohio State game to be a battle, but instead it was a blowout.

Just for the record, the second round games so far have proven out how awful ESPN was in their first round assessments. The Indiana stuff was especially bad.

Good teams can get blown out. It happens in the Super Bowl. I still believe Oregon is one of the four best teams.

I haven’t been paying a ton of attention, but just learned Carson Beck was hurt in the SEC game and isn’t playing (and has now gone pro).

What happened to the “totally different team” justification we saw from the CFP committee last year?

i have to say, GA without their QB versus a fully functional ND strikes me as about as close to a fair fight of any of CFB games so far.
