Considering how the Hawkeyes under performing (and OSU pretty much hitting on all cylinders) at several weights a second place finish is pretty good. I don't think anyone can pass the Hawkeyes as Missouri and Edinboro only have one each in the finals. Great Season Hawkeyes and Good Luck to Cory Clark tonight.

(sarcasm alert.........) Iowa just has to face the fact we're incapable of winning National Titles anymore. The rest of the world is just too good. Gable (and I presume Tom Brands) expect 10 Champions every year, and hope for the best. You, as a mere fan cannot have those same expectations. Sorry.

I guess you only follow the team if you post on here all year long. But to not face the fact the Iowa program is trending down while other programs are catching or surpassing Iowa is crazy. Iowa is allowing other programs to grab a new hold on the dominant program reigns. If the fans at Iowa continue to be apathetic towards Iowa's failures soon it will be ok and the norm to be the 2nd or 3rd best program in america. This fanbase is close to being happy with a ship or two every decade. I've been watching Iowa wrestling for 25 years and have been to several finals and this is the first time I'm worried for Iowa wretling. The Iowa Way is fading away and the sport is dying in circless around the nation.
