The defense is fixable from terrible to mediocre...Fran isn't t he right coach though.

Exactly. And that's what makes it so frustrating. Fran is a stubborn SOB and combined with his ignorance on how to coach defense this is what we get. Don't need amazing athletes to play respectable D, just smarts, toughness, and effort. We strike out on those

BTW, Iowa is 56th on Adj Defense according to KenPom with ONE game to go in the regular season. Looks like McC knows something about defense after all.

Psssst go look at the last tournament played in 2019. Then post the pre tournament W/L records for the top 4 seeds in each region. Maybe you’ll learn something today.
