Good grief! You seriously are critical of this coaching staff?...the same staff that took this team to the championship game?
Hm you have to understand this is the deepest team (on paper) we’ve had in a long time. A lot of us (longtime wbb fans) were expecting to see 9 or even 10 players get regular time. The skills are there — multiple Top 100 kids on the bench. We were pretty disappointed early on to see that the bench would actually look shallower than last year.
I wonder if those WE... HAVE..... NO..... SLOTS!!! people ever considered that Lisa had already talked to some of these women about their future plans? They presented themselves as experts on what Lisa would do. They look kind of foolish now.
No, of course we did. A lot of just found the “kick off (insert reserve) now” takes to be disrespectful and also wildly tone-deaf.
Murrow says she wants to go to a Big Ten school.
Where did Morrow (not Murrow ) say this? I’d love to read it.
I'd hate to see Hannah at the 5 next year as she's proven she can play in space and drive the ball to the hoop. I think she's a natural 4 and our best option there.
I don’t think I ever saw Hannah play exceptionally well anywhere besides the low post. She doesn’t seem to have a 3 pt shot or a jump shot and she got called for offensive fouls / traveling way too often when she would drive to say she is a clear 4. I’m not saying she can’t improve, I hope she will and I believe she will, but she could very well be another Naz Hillmon in the making based on this year.
Molly davis was my only real question: she never seemed to hit a basket when it mattered, most of her 3's were out of conference against low level schools.
Bluder said multiple times she wanted Molly to take more shots. Her biggest addition to the team was her ball handling. At CMU she was a great slasher (not that I expect her to be in the B1G). She was our only PG besides CC. Our PF wasn’t even a good ball handler. If CC were injured, we would have no other option to bring the ball down the court. I think it would have been Kate Martin who is simply not a PG. Next year we have a freshman coming at PG but she will likely never see the floor bc she will need a year to build some muscle.
