Disappointing that a journalist would make such a statement. I feel bad that CC has to try and juggle and defuse this type of crap in addition to being such an in demand superstar athlete and the type of person that young girls and women can aspire to be like.
Certainly it's polarizing ... but it's also coming from someone who is a media-personality who is reliant on attention (for better or worse). People rabidly tune in to MSNBC and/or FOX NEWs ... it's the same shit.
My point is simply that such garbage comments that are so clearly intended as "clickbait" don't even deserve to get dignified. The sort of reaction that elicit from people end up making the Iowa fanbase come across badly (sometimes). Thus, I just wish that folks wouldn't take the bait.
He certainly is not doing a good job of getting attention, hell I had to go back and look up who wrote it….then do a google search to confirm not somebody I have ever heard of before.

Personally, I loved watching the Bulls because of Michael Jordan. I didn't give a shit about his skin color; it was just awesome to watch the best player on the planet. Look at the sponsorships he got as a result (Nike, Gatorade, etc).
And now, Caitlin is the best female player on the planet, yet her race is continually being brought up as a big reason why companies want her to endorse their products and why fans are drawn to her.
