Should have raked - million acres burn across Texas

This isn't court, I don't have to "prove" my opinion. Its as if people (not you) forgot the art of conversation- having opinions based on their experiences and knowledge- or lack thereof- and just own what they say. Then be open to listening to others opinions and points of view- and change your mind or not.

Speaking in absolutes drives me nutty.

I speak knowing I'm going to be wrong to someone, and I don't care. I've been married- dying on random hills no longer amuses me.

You're right, this isn't court, you don't have to prove anything, this is a entirely voluntary experience. If you make a claim or hold a position one way or the other and someone challenges you, you're free to ignore them. Or you're free to substantiate your position with reasoning or evidence, some people find that sort of discussion and back and forth interesting and engaging. Or if you don't have reasoning or evidence, you're free to say so too, in my experience, people don't like doing this, even though we all do it.

To me, the entertaining part of a message board is the interactions/discussions among posters, but I also realize we have plenty of posters and plenty of topics that are not worth the time.

National Lunatics: It was the left wing Jew vaccine that did it

Event: A bowl of cereal crashes to the ground in Texas

HORT Libs: I guess there was too much left wing Jew vaccines in Texas huh? hehe, wink wink

alaskan: what about the cereal? Why politicize the cereal? Why laugh at the people who lost their cereal? You guys will use any tragedy to score political points!

HORT Libs: Forget the cereal, this is not about the cereal, it's about the National Lunatics and their hypocrisy, we're mocking them for talking about left wing Jew vaccines the first go around

alaskan: but what if HORT Lunatics made a thread about blue policies after a cereal bowl fell in California? You guys would roast them. I call out hypocrisy!

HORT Libs: You misunderstand, we're not making fun of the people who lost their cereal, we're making fun of the hypocritical National Lunatics. It doesn't have to be cereal, it could be anything, the subject is making fun of the National Lunatics

alaskan: But you guys are using the tragedy to score political points

HORT Libs: sigh
A. I actually enjoyed that. Well done. 👏🎬
B. So this is a "but they did it first-type thread". ✅
C. Btw, what in the heck is the Jewish laser stuff about? I remember the leaf raking, but not that.

I kept picturing this:

This is the space laser stuff from a California wildfire several years back. This thread is making fun of lunatics like MTG. The underlying event is a wildfire in Texas, only because the original event from whence this came was also a wildfire.

It could have been a hurricane, tornado or cereal bowl and the subject of the thread would be the exact same. Mock the lunatics like MTG for their lunacy and hypocrisy.

Are you frack'n kidding me? And the right calls AOC an idiot. I completely missed all that laser stuff, so that probably contributed to my thread demise.

I can't comprehend how MTG is an elected official. smh

For @ThorneStockton I just had to see if there was anything out there tragic with regards to a cereal bowl.

Michigan man convicted of killing wife, mom of 2 with heroin-laced bowl of cereal

DAVISON, Mich. — A Michigan man has been convicted of using a heroin-laced bowl of cereal to kill his wife in 2014.

Jason Thomas Harris, 47, of Davison, was convicted Wednesday of first-degree murder, solicitation of murder and delivery of a controlled substance causing death.

Christina Ann-Thompson Harris, 36, died overnight Sept. 28, 2014, in what was initially believed to be an accidental heroin overdose. Two days after her death, however, family members went to the Davison Police Department to complain that something was not right.

By all accounts, Christina Harris was a loving mother to her two children, and her family denied that she was a drug user.

Those skeptical included Jason Harris’ own siblings, who told police their brother had talked in the past of “getting rid of Christina.”

Further investigation by police led the medical examiner to change her manner of death to homicide in 2019, five years after Christina Harris died.

“This was a very tragic case and my heart goes out to the family and friends of Christina Harris,” Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said after the verdict. “The circumstances in the case make for a unique story and garner headlines in media, but at the core of it, a family is mourning the loss of their loved one. I only hope that today’s verdict will help them with closure as they continue to grieve, so they can feel some sense of comfort in knowing that justice under the law has been served.”

The case against Jason Harris hinged, in part, on frozen breast milk, according to MLive.

Christina Harris was eight months postpartum after giving birth to the couple’s second daughter. She was still breastfeeding and had stocked up their freezer with frozen milk for the infant.

Several samples of the breast milk were collected and tested. No drugs were found in the milk, indicating that Christina Harris was not a regular drug user.

Jason Harris had told investigators that Christina Harris, who had asthma, had slept poorly the night she died because of a cold. The slain woman’s mother had been at the couple’s home most of the day, however, and said her daughter was in good spirits.

Around 10 a.m. on the morning of Sept. 29, Jason Harris called a neighbor and asked her to check on his wife, which the neighbor told authorities was unusual.

When the neighbor went into the Harris home, which was unlocked, she found Christina Harris unresponsive in bed. The woman summoned a second neighbor, who is a nurse.

The second neighbor confirmed Christina Harris was dead and they called 911.

One of the neighbors told authorities Jason Harris said he’d given his wife a bowl of cereal the night before, but that in the middle of eating it, she dropped it unexpectedly on the floor and passed out.

Christina Harris’ told authorities her daughter’s marriage had been rocky, and Jason Harris’ siblings said he had been involved with other women before his wife died.

According to MLive, testimony at trial revealed that Jason Harris moved another woman into his home two months after Christina Harris’ death. He had also traveled to Rhode Island days after her death to spend time with a woman with whom he’d exchanged more than 5,800 texts, authorities said.

Jason Harris also benefited financially from his wife’s death. Harris, who had been fired from his factory job for testing positive for drugs, collected $120,000 in insurance money after Christina Harris’ death.

He is scheduled for sentencing Dec. 10, MLive reported. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

Wonder if anyone can post a "Dem" Congressperson making any remotely similar claim on the TX fires...

Giddyup, idiots.

Dim Kim should head to Eagle Pass for another photo op and detour through the fire zone.

Every time there is a major flooding event in California, RyanBots and GIAHORT MAGAs trip over themselves to complain about the state not having built enough reservoirs. Never mind that they would complain about the cost if they had.

Typical Team Blue cultist mentality. We saw it all during Covid. We see it any time a prominent conservative dies. They really are something. I respect people like you who lean left but also show human decency when people who disagree with them politically are experiencing struggle that has nothing to do with their political affiliation.
LOL, pot meet kettle. Good old Coff. Don’t you ever change.

Haven't watched the news today..are things still burning in that shithole State?

TIA

Could you imagine 9/11 in today's political climate? 🤯

Honestly it was pretty bad back then. People blamed 9/11 on Clinton for "weakening the military and intelligence agencies" and "ignoring" the Bin Laden threat. Bush was the savior who was going to take the fight to the terrorists and defeat terrorism at the source. The media for both sides fanned the flames and never stopped.

At least back then we didn't have the waves of social media fake news stories to further divide everyone.

For stories like the OP, you know there are a never-ending series of posts here making fun of anything to do with California or any other perceived liberal state/city. Even natural disasters are an opportunity for republican politicians to take their shots. "Looks like those liberals don't know how to run their state!" while people are actively suffering from forest fires, floods etc...

Look at just about any crime or natural disaster stories. People will analyze all involved until they can find a local liberal politician who is involved in any way and suddenly that person is of course at the center of it all and is responsible for everything bad that happened. "Sure it's a red state but the mayor is liberal".

You have people in rural areas with 1 person per square mile mocking the crime rates in big cities, which I guess helps them feel superior about themselves in some way. You have people in places like North Florida and South Georgia (for example) mocking California for having forest fires. I'm going to take a wild guess that we don't have many forest fires here because of it raining almost every day and the 90-100% humidity but yeah, it's probably because we are just better at raking up our forest leaves or something similar.

We're pretty much just "locust swarm" away from completing one Biblical cycle here...

I was being sarcastic with my post.

The Radical Right seemed happy and gleeful relishing in Hawaii's and California's misfortune previously.
