Should Iowa even get rid of Ferentz if....

Maybe I underestimated the amounts of the entire staff, so I will up my Total Package to $10M.

Just going by pay, in theory, even KF could assemble a staff of the following for $10M:

KF ($4M)
Cam Cameron ($1.3M)
Greg Mattison ($.9M)
Scott Frost ($.4M)
Brent Key ($.3M)
Gary Campbell ($.3M)
Kalani Sitake ($.5M)
Todd Orlando ($.2M)
Tyson Summers ($.18M)
Phil Parker ($.45M)

And this incredible staff would STILL be less overall pay than Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas and potentially others. That totals $8.53, staff alone would be about $4.5M. We are seriously undervaluing assistants.

His current staff total is $2.7M.

Instead we have Greg Davis. I like Phil Parker, I'd certainly bring him back. I like some of our other coaches. I think we all know where the axe needs to go first. Oh wait, I take that back, I don't think we probably all agree on that.

Ferentz has done many good things at Iowa but the last 5 years have been brutal with a losing B1G in that time. Sorry, unlike some of you guys, some dont just want him to get a lifetime pass. Too many of you think with your hearts over your heads. Sorry you dont agree with those who think a sub .500 record in the conference over the last 5 years is not acceptable and suggest maybe time for a change.

The support of Bielema here is far greater than those of you who want to negatively bash him as you do. Ironic you think Ferentz is getting bashed too much but yet you do the same with Bielema. Again, go ahead if that makes you feel better.

rYou asked for specifics and I gave them to you. All I did is list facts as to why some people may not want him as their coach. Do you think I am alone? Im not making up this stuff, these are things he did and just what I can remember. I am sure there is more. Let me ask you this, take out BBs winning. Do you think those moves were class acts, poor judgment or do you just not even care?

Also, what does unacceptable mean to you. When Iowa football becomes unacceptable to me the last place you will find me is a message board dedicated to Iowa football bitching about it non-stop.

Lastly, I am not as thin skinned as you may want to believe. This place is about 99% entertainment for me. 1% educational. I'm not this huge KF lover that you may think. He's a great representative of the University and an average coach. Yes average! People who say he is awful don't spend much time watching other games. If we could get a more proven successful commodity then great, but the chances of that are slim.

As sad as this is to admit I think you are spot on... Last year and this year were the cupcake schedules and we won't muster more than 7 wins either year ... We are on a downward trend; others are getting better ... I think we need to be prepared to accept a lot of 6-win seasons ... We are simply an "average" program now.

Since your already know what's going to happen this year can you fill us in on the details...like which games we win and lose and the scores? I think I can make some money on your ability to foresee the future....
