That's cute. You have a coach that is going to run a "warp speed" offense and a couple of recruits who can run REALLY fast without anybody getting in their way.
Unfortunately, you still have the majority of the team coming back that has been pasted by Iowa 2 years in a row. I like our odds. Take it for what it's worth.

We have alot of talent here and even Frost said there is more talent here overall than there was at UCF even last year but the problem is, we are very thin a certain positions which is being corrected. Poor coaching leads to players continually making mistakes on the field which by cause and effect makes players lose confidence in not only themselves but in their own abilities and lack of development makes it look like a team is completely void of said talent. Our last coaching staff was worthless as Riley showed lack of ability to even hold his coaching and strength and conditioning staff accountable as well as player accountability as they were lazy as fk. It takes Coaching, Strength and Conditioning, Player Development, Player Accountability and Recruiting to have a successful program, and we have all of those with Frost and the rest of the coaching staff. You can believe that! Every year we have far higher recruiting classes than any team in the West Division and that is fact.

I feel like I'm reading a Scott Frost press release. Did you expect him to say his new team is terrible?
If all of that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, have at it.
He might turn out to be a great coach at Nebraska. He might flop. One good season at UCF isn't going to convince anybody outside of Nebraska that he's the next Nick Saban.
He did something no other coach in all of college football history has ever done before. Frost took a demoralized UCF team that finished 0-12 in 2015 the year before he got there, and in only his second year as HC guided an undefeated team. All of that in just 2 years! Knock him all you want, but not even the great Nick Saban or douchebag Meyer or anyone else has ever come within a galaxy of accomplishing that feat! Frost and UCF went on to beat the 7th ranked team in the Bowl game which proved, it didn't matter that he coached in a non power 5 conference. Frost and UCF would've done alot of damage in the CFP had they been given the chance and not been screwed. If memory also serves me correctly, UCF was the only undefeated team in all of FBS this last year!

Look, I've acknowledged he may be a great coach at Nebraska. He may not. Nobody knows at this point. You can keep up your used car salesman schtick until you're blue in the face. The guy hasn't coached a single game in the big ten.
UCF was good before 2015. They finished ranked 6th in 2012 and winning The Orange Bowl
I understand that, but he doesn't care if he's played a game in the BIG yet or not as that is the least of his concerns. It's all about business as usual. Frost even stated that his hope and his belief is that this conference is going to have to adjust to us which I believe will end up happening down the way. There is not one coach in this conference that has won a NC as a player let alone as a starting QB except for Frost, and he know's what it takes to win as he is a product of our glory years. He won't be a flop and you can take that one directly to the bank. His Offense is often replicated, but will never be duplicated..Frost comes from a top tier pedigree of coaching mentors. From Bill Walsh to Tom Osborne to Bill Parcells to Bill Belichek to Bill Snyder to John Gruden to Raheem Morris. The list is long and distinguished, plus he's the only coach in this conference that calls all of his own plays from the sideline just like Osborne did before him.

When Urban Meyer came to the B1G and said other teams need to up their recruiting game he could back it up. He won A NC. When Frost comes to the B1G and says the league will need to adjust to Nebraska, I say F off. See you on a 20 degree day in Iowa City this fall. Bring your chin straps.
See you don't get it, while we were in the Big 8/Big XII this conference was the joke of the entire nation known as the weak 10. We were the masters of smash mouth football, while you were playing powder puff ball. During that time before the Big XII, the top rivalry in all of college football was Nebraska/Oklahoma, The Michigan/Ohio St rivalry was a joke compared to that. Even to this day, this conference doesn't have a clue as to what non-stop vicious hits are all about and if you contest that, you are just fooling yourselves. Kinda funny, we still have an overall winning record against the BIG all throuhout history even though we are now a member of it!
Pin your hopes and dreams on him if it makes you feel good. As of now, he hasn't accomplished anything in the big ten.
If he wins 8 games this year, feel free to @ me in December. I'll come eat my crow.

How long ago are you talking about? I would agree that during the 70's, Oklahoma and Nebraska were probably better than Michigan and Ohio State. There was ebb and flow and there were years it swung back and forth. But things changed. Since 1979, you guys are 16-21 in bowl games. You are 8-13 in what today would be called "New Years 6" games. Why does it matter? Because it is a measuring stick of relative strength of conferences. You guys did have one hell of a run from 94-97 when you were successfully recruiting the prisons for talent. But outside of that 4-year run, you guys have had as much impact on the college football landscape as Iowa has.
I won't attempt to compare Iowa's football history to Nebraska's. You guys win. But there are less and less people every year who care what happened 40 years ago. The wishbone has been gone for decades. The triple option exists at the service academies and Georgia Tech. Iowa throttled that the last time we faced it.
But please do continue living in the glow of yesteryear.

From 1977-1987 all of division 1 stopped on a proverbial dime waiting for the finish of the annual NU/OU showdown as 1 or both teams were ranked in the top 3 mostly either Nebraska or Oklahoma were ranked #1 going into that game. In 1987 NU was ranked #1 and OU was #2 going into the annual slug fest and OU won that game and won the NC that year. Tom Osborne vs Barry Switzer. Nebraska played for the NC 4 times in the 80s. The 83 Offense is still considered the greatest in Div 1/FBS history as it still owns a number of NCAA Records. That was the team that pasted a Lou Holtz led Minnesota squad 84-13 as well that team is the only team in history to produce the top 3 NFL draft picks. Rozier was the 1st pick, but opted to play for the newly formed USFL leaving Irving Fryar (WR) as the 1st overall draft pick followed by Dean Steinkuhler (RG) as the 2nd overall pick in the 84 draft. Get your history straight. from the late 70s to early 2000s The Big 10 conference was a nationally known joke and most times was called The Weak 10 because the conference as a whole sucked. Nebraska to this day in the modern era from 1962-Present is still the winningest team in Div 1/FBS even with our down years and that is a fact and even the Ohio St isn't anywhere close to catching us as we still have a pretty wide gap between us and number 2 and OSU isn't the #2, but not as wide as it used to be with all of our down years.
