We put in all kinds of FLAMMABILITY STANDARDS on things in schools, including building codes that the building materials themselves aren't flammable.

But put any form of regulation on "guns"? No way.

Uh, guns are banned at the vast majority of schools in this country.

Amazingly, the criminals are ignoring the bans.

Your last comment is the correct answer. With most of these mass shootings the victims are basically fish in a barrel. Very easy to kill a lot of people in a very short time when they are unarmed, scared and either trying to run away from you or cowering on the floor,... These school shooters have typically been nothing more than kids themselves. They choose schools because that's what they know, that's what they have learned to hate, and that's where they know they will be met with little to no resistance....

I truly don’t think active shooters target areas with no resistance. The Vegas shooter there was armed guards everywhere in the casino. They target people. School shooters target people they hate. For revenge.

We have active shooter drills. They teach us to run. To fight back if we can. To hide if that’s the only choice.

Exactly, we changed the way we construct public buildings,... we didn't try to eliminate the existence of fire....
