The cold open was sadly spot on. James Austin Johnson and the writers have perfected the tangential ramblings of Daycare Donnie.
The Please Don't Destroy short was excellent, and Weekend Update was strong overall, but a special nod to Sarah Sherman. She is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine.

President Biden said Friday that he would visit the site of the Baltimore bridge collapse because, like that bridge, Biden is no longer connecting with Black communities," comedian Michael Che said.

La Maison Du Bang was great.
I admit to not knowing who Raye is, but I enjoyed her songs. She reminded me of an old time lounge singer a bit.

She does a great live show. Her latest album is a mix of blues, rap and R&B I guess. She really is a genre all to her own. I am sold. She has an amazing sound.

O

Oh for the days of Belushi and Aykroyd, David Spade and Dana Carvey, Norm McDonald, Kevin Nealon, Jane Curtain, Father Guido Sarducci, and the great Dennis Miller. Will Ferrell and Chevy Chase, and Farley and Adam Sandler. And who can forget Bill Murray and Phil Hartman. The days when the musical guests were good and you had actually heard of them!

Musical guests were better. No freaking rap!!!

But back then the skits were often hokey. And often bad,

Wonder if it depended on the quality of blow.
