So…when we fight the “War for Greenland”…

I think Trump does things like this with an alternative purpose. With Russia moving into Ukraine, China is encroaching on countries near their own… Trump rings a similar bell with Greenland, Canada… China takes notice and it might produce a more open dialogue about taking over countries. Just spitballing.

He does things, says things, seemingly out of the blue with, often, strange undertones… in order to manufacture leverage.

There's hundreds of examples of his bizarre, random, strange, out of the blue statements, often referred to as the 'weave'. Can you think of a few examples of when he successfully employed that technique to manufacture and utilize the leverage?

The guy is very old, we can see and hear his weave, we can read what the people in his first administration have said about him and his intellect. There's got to be some reason why you think it is 4D chess and not just what it plainly looks like.

Nah. He says this crazy stuff to distract from the actual things he has planned.

It's like Canada. No way he would want Canada a real state. That's two more democratic senators, a bunch more US Reps, and probably 60 electoral votes. That would break the backs of the GOP.

Trump is simply information overloading right now so that people can't keep up.
Yep, distract from tariffs and deportation. So many reporters are so clueless they just fall for this shit. Correct , Canada has a liberal govt now that would probably vote democratic in the US.

Yep. It's a way for him to pretend that he's doing stuff without actually doing stuff. If he didn't change the narrative with these clickbait ideas people would be talking about the real problems.
Well, he can't "actually" do stuff until january 20, last i checked. but with that said, mcgovern is right: if people keep treating trolling as if it's serious to get apoplectic about, you're going to get what you deserve.

No, he's just clueless. Remember, this is the guy who kept bringing up Hannibal Lecter because he thought 'seeking asylum' referred to an insane asylum. Sharpness isn't exactly his strong suit.

his debate with Kamala really proved your point, his quick wit responses are mostly asinine. But the guy has to have some strategy he is following. Maybe that strategy is just throw a bunch of shit in the wall and see what sticks.

This.

The media should ignore:
—Buying Greenland
—Making Canada the 51st state
—Military in Panama
—The Gulf of America

The media should grill him on:
—Tackling inflation
—How tariffs will reduce the cost of goods
—Details on the deportation plan
—How he will resolve the War in Ukraine in the first 24 hours
What you said the medai should grill him on is too boring now for the media and they wont get clicks and eyeballs. So they chase the new weird stuff.

That is why you have to find some balanced, truthful, verifiable news source which 90% of americans do not.

I'd love to add the Canadian landscape to the US but don't really want to add the people.

The added fishing/hunting ground would be off the charts.

We are just going to have to kill 40 million people.

But Rs have no plans to reduce inflation. Trump has all but admitted defeat on this front. So how does that make housing affordable?

Further, inflation is already at normal levels now. But prices are still sky high. So again, what's the plan?

And I agree that subsidies can help make housing affordable. So what are the specifics on that? Will Trump give first time home buyers $50k, or some such number, to buy their first homes?
No Huey, his exact answer started with "I believe we will", at some point you gotta man the **** up a little instead of lying to yourself to self induce a panic attack.

Huey giving first time* homebuyers money isn't going to help anything. Sharks and minnows.

If you really think your getting a line by line item after just asking what's the plan and I gave you the exact republican approved response, you are just looking for anxiety.

I agree
I just think its rich that climate deniers (maga) don't understand greenlands value/how it becomes valuable and that it's not the same as alaska...
Not knowing what a glacier is, is a good representation of the maga nation.
And I have heard on two different nature/science shows that if all the ice melts off greenland the landmass could rise many hundreds of feet, but not mentioned how long that would take. That is a hell of a lot of thick, heavy ice and snow

Great questions for the Maga dude poster. And why are prices still sky high, because companies can keep them high. and geezuz that is price gouging, yet everyone yelled at KHarris for saying price gouging.

Everyone bitches about the price of eggs yet they dont realize that millions of chickens or hundreds of thousands of them have been slaughtered because of flu. Initial inflation is caused by excess purchasing power and demand and double whammied when supplies are short like during the supply chain drastic slowdowns.

As far as your second point, again remember KHarris ran for prez saying tax credits and offsets to help first time home buyers. Yet the repubs and the right kept blasting it as inflationary and it isnt.

Housing shortages and apt shortages at decent prices are what is causing high home and rent cost. I doubt Trump will worry about this , remember his last HUD secretary was the wonderfully goofass Ben Carson, most noted for putting in $30,000 on his office furnishings, well above the $5000 dollar limit.

CHAPTER FOUR: BRING BACK THE AMERICAN DREAM AND MAKE IT AFFORDABLE AGAIN FOR FAMILIES, YOUNG PEOPLE, AND EVERYONE

Our Commitment:

Republicans offer a plan to make the American Dream affordable again. We commit to reducing Housing, Education, and Healthcare costs, while lowering everyday expenses, and increasing opportunities.

1. Housing Affordability

To help new home buyers, Republicans will reduce mortgage rates by slashing Inflation, open limited portions of Federal Lands to allow for new home construction, promote homeownership through Tax Incentives and support for first-time buyers, and cut unnecessary Regulations that raise housing costs.

2. Accessible Higher Education

To reduce the cost of Higher Education, Republicans will support the creation of additional, drastically more affordable alternatives to a traditional four-year College degree.

3. Affordable Healthcare

Healthcare and prescription drug costs are out of control. Republicans will increase Transparency, promote Choice and Competition, and expand access to new Affordable Healthcare and prescription drug options. We will protect Medicare, and ensure Seniors receive the care they need without being burdened by excessive costs.

4. Lower Everyday Costs

Republicans will reduce the Regulatory burden, lower Energy costs, and promote Economic Policies that drive down the cost of living and prices for everyday goods and services.

So I see we have the infamous concept of a plan, but no real details of a plan on how this is going to be done. Cuz it ain't. Everybody and the man around the corner knows that.

So, you mean exactly like his first term.

His acolytes are still certain that he erased the national debt, made Mexico pay for a wall, replaced Obamacare with a way better and less expensive alternative, and delivered on a huge infrastructure plan.

Just saw today that Trump hopes to meet with Putin within his first six months to talk about Ukraine. So much for 24 hours.
Well Putin did tap his feet, snap his fingers, and call out... Here Donnie... and Bonespurs comes running. That's what lap dogs do.

1. Lower Interest rates-great! They were starting to fall already…I don’t think the issue is no land to build on, but the cost of the house and land. There are lots for sale all over the fricking place.

2. Nothing new there.

3. That’s that 9 year old concept of a plan, right?

4. At the cost of our environment and fair practices prolly? Think cancer is bad in Iowa now….

Maybe will get another kick ass Clint Eastwood war movie out of it. We’re due.

Wasn’t the joke amongst some of his staff. Everyone thinks he’s playing 4D chess. In reality we’re trying to keep him from eating the chess pieces.

So, is Mexico going to pay for this attempt to recoup Greenland? I mean, much like most of Bonespurs' horde of unpaid bills, Mexico hasn't made good on their 'pay for the wall' yet. Despite Bonespurs many promises. Who's he going to tell us is going to pay for this one?
