I know I’m beating a dead horse here but holy shit. I’m sure many of you have read the contrarian viewpoint, that Caitlin Clark isn’t the sole reason for viewership increase across women’s basketball.

But that clearly isn’t the case. She is literally the only reason. I mean the whole nation got to watch every game she played last year.

If I’m reading the TV schedule correctly even #6 LSU/Tenn #16 & #18 Bama/Texas #5 are on pay per view channels.

However, USC vs. Maryland was near 15k,--- so a good reason why they want Juju to succeed.

Glad Maryland showed up to watch JuJu, cause USC doesn't. Their largest crowd this year was 8,043 against Michigan in a 10,500 seat arena.

I guess it's called the State Farm Center now. It holds 15,544....attendance on the box score was 4,231. Butts in the seats probably a t lot less than that......So does that mean the needle was moved back to preCC numbers tonight?

The official attendance for Iowa @ Illinois was 4,200. If there were half that many bodies actually in the building, I'd be surprised.

This bullshit about women's basketball being great but nobody noticed until CC stopped by is as bogus as calling Canada the fifty-first state. Women's basketball without CC is barely watchable. I'm still following the Hawkeyes because of CC. Had it not been for her, I would have NO idea who AJ Guyton or Sydney Affolter were, and I wouldn't care. The same x 1,000 for that joke known as the WNBA. Once CC leaves that league, it will go back under its rock. I'm glad women can enjoy playing sports, but I'm not gonna be watching once the CC era is over.
