illini are a decent football team playing in an exceedingly weak division.
BB is 7-1 in year 2 and probably gonna win the B10 West and make the champ game.

They are pretty good and if their QB didn't get hurt we probably wouldn't have had to worry about the game being 9-6, we'd have been out of it by the third quarter instead of the bitter end.
Back in the day they would tape the two fingers together and send him back out.

I think this is the truth. West is bad, but Illinois has looked very good on every front since the IU loss - very much decided, quite literally, by an admittedly horrible replay. Is Illinois as good as Georgia? Lmao, no. However, they’ve handled the schedule in front of them in an impressive way besides Iowa … which was without our QB.

Slow down their RB, and make that QB/WRs beat you. Had Iowa had a pulse on offense we win that game in Champaign.

Because they aren't very good. No team in the West is very good. Kudos to Illinois for taking advantage to date. Someone has to win the division, and it would be a great feather in BB's hat to have his team win the division in Year 2. He has his team believing now, which is half the battle. Next 3 weeks they get Sparty, Purdue and at Michigan. If they win just the game against Purdue they are in good shape to win the West. Finish with Northwestern, who is worse than bad.
Based on what? They weren’t moving it consistently even he was in there. Not like we’re talking an all am here.
Northwestern is horrible. From what I could tell, Northwestern was starting some players that wouldn't see the field on some division 3 teams.
Need some lucky breaks to get to the top (like us last year). Illinois had a few but no doubt they're a good team. Our game was there for the taking and couldn't seal it.
