Kirk should own his refusal to test this kid when McNamara has been so bad. It is week 8 FFS.

I agree w you that KF made a mistake sticking with Cade so long, but KF could name Hayden Large the starter at QB and he’s not getting fired.
Unless you’re telling me you hear rumblings in IC that the big money donors are ready to write the 30 million dollar check.
Big portion of the fan base is going to turn on him if he keeps 12 on the field after today.

I'm telling you that he can't get up in front of the media this week and tell everyone that "Cade has done enough good things and that he gives the team the best chance to win". Even the Casper Milquetoasts known as Iowa sports journalists aren't letting that one slide again. The charade is over, along with Cade's career at Iowa. Barring injury or horrendous performance, Sullivan will be finishing out the year as starting QB.
If he starts Cade against Wisconsin, we deserve to get boatraced.

KF, while watching the film of Sullivan leading the offense to 33 points after replacing McNamara. Really goes against his 6-3 slugfest game plans ....
I hope he marches Lainez out next week. Just for the shit show it will cause around here.
And I think the sideline reporter specifically asked him to comment on Sullivan's contribution, and KF glossed over it, crediting as you said the D, KJ and the punter. No real compliment of Sullivan. Pathetic.
Speaking of, why tf was Lainez not out there in the 4th quarter with the rest of the backups? Heaven forbid we protect Sullivan from a stupid injury
Just said he will have to see how Cade is but also said playing Sullivan was planned today.
On the flip side, it's invaluable to get Sullivan reps if he's taking over.

This is just incredible, frankly. I know he doesn’t want to beat up Cade who already probably feels like sh$t for getting pulled. But the rest of the team has eyes too, Kirk!! He doesn’t have to disparage Cade and could have just said “Sully played really well for us and got things going.”
The defense was already playing stellar. Special teams was already doing great. Does anyone really believe we win without it being an azz clencher if Cade plays the entire game??
