So Nebraska fires 4 Offensive coaches ...

Frank Verducci taking over the Nebraska Oline the last 2 weeks. Should be open season for the Iowa and Wisconsin defenses
It will be interesting how many Nebraska players "opt out" to prepare for the NFL stuff and what the mental approach will be for the seniors that never experienced a bowl game or even a winning record.

They either be highly motivated or "don't give a shit".

People need to stop dreaming about KF firing his son and his best friend. We all saw this coming 5 years ago. Iowa is too nice of a place to fire coaches or bench players. Just deal with it and hope KF has some epiphany and decides to retire before we see ‘98-‘99 all over again…
In reality, we are closer to 1998 than ever. If we were to switch this year's schedule with Nebraska's, we would probably be sitting where they are. I don't think anyone believes we would have defeated PSU if their quarterback hadn't been injured in the first half. If you switch Indiana and Maryland for Ohio State, Michigan, or Michigan State, we are probably 4 and 5 right now. Our offense is so bad that if we don't get turnovers, we lose. If we turn the ball over, we lose.

What's your fantasy? That Clifford wasn't sacked by Campbell, or that when he was, Campbell deliberately let up and just tackled him gently? Just curious.

Firing coaches have worked out well for Nebraska. Knee jerk reactions are never a good thing.
I'd hardly say it would be a knee jerk reaction to fire an OC that has never had an offense rank better than 90th in the nation in the 5 years he's been OC, and it's getting worse, 123rd this year in a really bad West division.

I'll grant you that this might be the worst Iowa OL since 1998.

I'm just saying the Hawks aren't as good as their record would have you believe. Hell, we were lucky to beat Northwestern, a team that Nebraska beat by 50. In my humble opinion, if Clifford didn't get hurt and stays in the game, Penn State beats us by 30 or more.

PSU would have been up by only 7 if he cave back in and not been injured. Iowa also would have had the momentum when he came back in. Your 30 point win is head scratcher.

including their offensive coordinator, QB coach and o-line coach. They have the fourth best offense in the league statistically. The Hawks have to be at or near the bottom again this year yet BF and KOK are still around. They make North of $1.5 M combined, shameful something isn't done to improve our offensive coaching on that side of the ball.
We’re coming up on the 20th anniversary of the day Nebraska football died.

Please, Iowa athletics decision makers who may be reading this - don’t look to Nebraska for solutions to problems dreamt up by idiots on the free football board.

Spoken like a guy who hasn’t watched a down of Iowa football. How many games have we seen an opposing QB look like a Heisman lock early on only for Phil Parker to make adjustments and send him to the bench. Maryland and Iowa State come to mind right off the bat.

Edit to clarify I’m agreeing with you and talking about the poster you’re replying to.
