I don’t think it takes an insider, of which I am not claiming to be, to understand that they obviously got what they needed to know from the matches he wrestled. If there was more questions one could assume he would have wrestled in the consy’s.
Spencer is on the program cover for Friday nights dual, I think the shirt may be coming off!?!?!?
If I take the fam to that meet, mainly to see Mr. Lee, and he DOESN'T wrestle...well, let's just say that I will not be happy. As a form of protest...I will go down to center mat and strip naked AND then do some jumping jacks. That should clear Carver Arena.
Then they'll know better than to throw the ol' bait and switch at us!
I can see where it is not exclusively their decision, but are you saying that they have no say in it?

100% yes. One of my kids' Christmas presents was their ticket to Spencer Lee's debut at Carver Hawkeye.....a little piece of history!
This! As another poster pointed out turning around and wrestling 25 minutes (bc of the loss) is just not worth the risk. As many have questioned- "Would he of MFF if he would have won" the answer is no- simply because of the amount of time he would allow the muscles around his injured knee more time to recover- therefore significantly reducing risk of reinjury. Now if the shirt is in fact pulled, he would then have 3 months to strengthen his knee/muscles and also work on his endurance to be full go in March-- once again that extra 3 months significantly reduces risk of reinjury. Good move by Brands/Lee or whomever....put pride and impatience aside and do what is best for athlete......always about what is best for athlete and not fans

Well the year is only 2 days old, but this is still awesome.
Even bought them each a little pair of field binoculars to go with it, in case their little tiny eyes can't take in all of his awesomeness at once. Spencer Lee Fans: we grow 'em young in Iowa!
Maybe my mind is faulty, but I seem to remember Lee saying he would get 2 or 3 matches at Midlands. Maybe he would have wrestled the finals with more rest between, but I dont think it was ever the plan to go 5 or 6 matches.
Can Embiid make 133, he sounds tough?

I am one who thinks he should still redshirt, get completely healthy and also get bigger for his weight class. If his knee is 100% then why wear the big knee brace. If it's the saying of just a precaution to be safe then to me that means the knee is not right. I hope he proves me wrong and is a high aa but I doubt he wins the title. I think if he redshirted he would have a better chance of being a 4 time champ. I hope he wins it but I doubt he does.
