So, what are we hearing about the ankle?

Michigan has looked pretty human lately losing two out of three. Illini I could see but lost to MSU as well. I strongly believe if Michigan had played the full schedule like everyone else they'd have at least 1 or 2 more losses. Just saying........

Gonzaga looked pretty human for most of the BYU game.

You need to watch sports more often if you've never heard of BYU.

In a way, it could be said that you watch too much sports if you know much about BYU basketball. 😉

Unless you're a gambler. Then you probably know where their walk-ons went to grade school.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't really care about him playing this week. Rather have him set to go Thursday/Friday
If the doctors clear him and he can play with pain (if applicable), then Joe will want to play.

But I am sure Fran has made it clear to let him know how he's feeling and that the most important thing is to be ready & able to play in the NCAA Tournament.

Nice to see everybody in sneakers and no boots.

Is coach using a cane?

The numbers are correct and I just confirmed them by hand. If you want to check yourself, they are basic proportion equations
Anytime you try to tell me that Joe T compares scoring wise to JoBo, I know you are fudging things for your own ends.

Joe averages 3.8 points in 11.5 minutes per game. Jordan averages 10.5 points in 29.2 minutes per game.

3.8/11.5=x/40 40 * 3.8 / 11.5 = 13.21 points per 40 minutes for Toussaint

10.5/29.2=x/40 40 * 10.5 / 29.2 = 14.38 points per game for Bohannon

I realize that you take stats like these with a grain of salt and wasn’t trying to make some grandiose point that Toussaint is as good of a scorer as Bohannon. Bohannon is substantially more efficient and shares the floor with Wieskamp and Garza who are high volume scorers. I wasn’t knocking him. My point was that Toussaint isn’t some inept scorer like the post I was responding to claimed

I don’t know what you have against Toussaint, as you go out of the way to knock him at every turn, but it’s unbecoming

He averages 13.2 points/40 minutes which is more than Fredrick and 1 less than Bohannon/PMac.

And I doubt that Joe’s A/40 is the highest on the team by nearly 2 because of his full court passes to Patrick

He also takes 43% more shots per 40 minutes than CJ.

I realize this. Again, look at the post I was responding to. All I’m saying is that Toussaint being a “2 ppg” scorer isn’t representative of his actual scoring output, understanding that he hasn’t been particularly efficient

I don't think people have "something against" Joe T, as much as they are tired of the constant "he needs to play more" crowd. He is playing at a level that he is having moderate success and at times, excellent play. I believe it is the Peter Principle that says - people rise to their level of incompetence. Let the coaches hand out playing time because they know better than we. More time on the court and it just may expose Joe a little too much at this point. And as far as statistics proving a point, anyone with a level of intelligence, which I believe you have, can make an argument out of most anything.

this the problem with iowa, no real good drivers. if 3's are not falling theywill still get 25 from luka but not enough. Illinois has 3 guys that drive like crazy. it wins games consistently.
This, and Iowa can’t stop teams with decent guards from driving the lane whenever they want.

This is a post of mine from Wednesday:

“Bohannon’s actually been playing really solid defense the past few weeks since Iowa has gone to man which, given that it has always been his biggest weakness and that he’s less prone to mental mistakes, has made him the obvious choice to continue logging the majority of the minutes at point (imo)”

Nobody in this thread has been clamoring for additional minutes for Toussaint either, but BBHawk (who was the only person I was referring to) still goes out of his way to dog him every chance he gets.

Lastly, if people want to refute my arguments with better, more convincing statistics, then I welcome that kind of conversation and am more than willing to acknowledge that I may be off base if a convincing argument is made. Calling my stats fake or denying basic math isn’t the answer however

I don't believe I am accusing you of anything. And when I refer to the people wanting to see JT gets more minutes crowd, I am not referring to just this thread.

I keep my discussion, whether I disagree with you or agree with you, civil and on topic. Unless of course, the other becomes a dick. Then I have every ability to become one myself.
