So...what's the injury?

All season it's been said that Moore is battling an injury that isn't allowing him to take shots...so, what's the injury? Is this a McDonough type labrum or something else?

It will be interesting to see if there is any truth to the rumor. All I know is that if it is a shoulder injury it certainly should Not have prevented him from moving his feet. Have never seen anyone wrestle so flat footed when compared to how he wrestled on his feet in HS.

Has to do with vertebrae discs and also loss of feeling or numbness of his fingers on a hand as well I believe iirc.

Couple of wrestlers told me in February that he has back issues. Made it hard for him to finish shots.

If so why not pull the shirt off Paddock and let him go, or Rhoads. Why worry about burning the shirt for Paddock when you already know you have Marinelli coming in(2016) and Meyer will be a Jr @ 174, so Paddock can move up after he's done.

**I do feel bad for Moore, but you have to do what's best for the team.

They sure wrestled a whole lot different for having the same "injury". There is nothing in the way Moore wrestles that suggests an injury is harming him. Unless it keeps him from shooting, keeps him from getting taken down at will, etc. Just glad it's over at this point.

Whatever his issues the symptoms didn't seem to manifest in a consistent, uniform way. With McD it was obvious, with Nick Moore, against certain guys, where he was confident, the injury looked non-existent. In other matches, where he fell behind, he appeared to have one foot in the grave, literally.

Curious when he'll be having his back surgery. Best of luck to him.

In my experience back injuries can come and go more than other types of issues. Especially if it is a nerve thing. Not saying this is the case with Nick. But it would make sense.

The way he winced when the ref raised his hand after one of his matches midway through the season I knew something had to be bothering him. It would be interesting to know if Moore would have won in a wrestle off against other 165lb guys in the room. If none of them could beat Moore as injured as he was it doesn't speak well for the other guys in the room.

The kid isn't right. I don't care what anyone says.

Iowa doesn't use injuries as an excuse and doesn't ask for pity when a guy gets hurt. Hopefully it comes out eventually.

H. Stieber is a hero for giving it a go for O$U and N. Moore is a goat for going 0-2 for Iowa.

It's the nature of the beast, but it's the way it is. Illinois has employed the same strategy with Delgado imo.

To be fair, the difference between the two (as of now) is that we know Stieber is hurt.

I talked to someone who is in the room and wrestles Moore frequently. As far as he knows, Moore has no injury that affects his wrestling anymore than any other wrestler on the team.
