To be fair it doesn't take much to be bowl eligible anymore. Iowa plays 3 cupcakes OOC and then just needs to beat 3 in conference teams. Illinois and Minnesota are bad and then beat one other like Purdue or Nebraska

Yep, a Mountain West team and a Div 2 team. Iowa also struggled offensively against MSU, PSU, Minny, NW, Purdue, and Wisconsin. That is 8 out of 12.
Typically players don't get a game suspension for attendance at meetings or workouts. As you pointed out, King sat out a quarter. As others pointed out, we will never know the reason for sure 100% unless Jackson shares it. But majority of the time it's a substance issue due to a drug test. Sounds like he's with the team and on the path back, which is a great sign. Hopefully will just be a minor blip on what will be a great career.
What little I know I'm pretty sure this isn't his 1st strike to miss a whole game the part I worry about is one more strike and he could be gone it going to be tough for this young man to stay in line for 3 more years without any issues What I have no clue about is what the issue is like some have said it could be many different things.If I was guessing I would say it's a classroom issue.
