Sparty vs Badgers

Can't believe Davis hasn't played more but I'm sure izzo has his reasons. That dude is talented though.

he really is good..that was a great run out & catch...the McQ kid...also good pass. MichtSt is loaded...wouldn't surprise me they don't lose the rest of the regular season..wouldn't be something..2 losses :)rolleyes:)...

I saw that Davis was included on the list of next year's NBA draft picks that someone provided a couple of days ago. Is he expected to come out after this season? If so, MSU is losing a lot: Valentine, Costello, Forbes, and Davis. Not that I am going to feel too badly for them.

Hard to pull for the Badgers, but in this case, i will make an exception. Wisconsin's not going anywhere this year and I would like to see them further bury Sparty.

Wisconsin and OSU have struggled, but they can still scrap and get wins in the b10. B1g is deep, but not very top heavy.

Hope for a MSU loss...as much as I hate to see Wisconsin win one game...although it isn't as repulsive as when Bo Crybaby Ryan would win... Let's eliminate MSU from the conference title early...

I suppose a Badger win puts Michigan State further behind us in the Big Ten standings. Still, I have a hard time rooting for either one of these teams.
If that’s TV Ted, he’s dropped at least 40 pounds.

He hit the Jenny Craig or something.

I think I'd rather have every TV commentator in the country mention that MSU's only losses of the season were both to Iowa for at least a few more days.

Wow, TV Ted must have shed his love for Izzo along with those 40 pounds, because he’s calling fouls on MSU that he’s NEVER called on them before.

Rather have MSU win, we've beat them twice. Better for or SOS and we win the tiebreakers.

Plus I love watching Wisky lose. Especially at home.

Sorry, just can't feel bad for or want the Badgers to win, in ANYTHING.

Call me a horrible person if you want to.

I’d rather see MSU with a tougher road in the Big Ten Tournament. The more energy they have to expend before we face them for a third time this season, the better.

This game is exactly what I would expect if the refs continue to actually call the rules regarding freedom of movement. MSU plays defense with their hands so much that they'll continue to rack up fouls (rightfully so) if the refs don't let them get away with it.

I sure didn't see that MSU loss coming................

The things with MSU, they are never that great this time of year, but they always get better as the season wears on, and by tournament time, well, they have made a lot of long runs.

We’ll see if they continue to call those fouls in March. It is my guess they won’t.

I guess this loss probably knocks MSU out of B1G title chase. However, the two big wins of Iowa over MSU lose some of the shine.

I don't know why some Iowa fans hope Iowa will finish with 14 conference wins. Since Iowa is ranked and they only have 2 more games on their schedule against teams that are currently ranked in the AP Top 25 they should win all but two games and more if their ranking means anything.

The AP seems to have way over rated the Michigan State team so those two wins may not have much clout for Iowa when selection Sunday rolls around.

Iowa State is 2-2 but still have the same record they had playing those teams at the same venues last year. Iowa should be glad they don't have to play their remaining schedule as ISU has 7 currently ranked teams left on their remaining conference schedule.

As for Iowa giving away the game to ISU. I was watching the replay of the Oklahoma at ISU game last year on the Cyclone TV channel last night. I knew ISU came back from a 22 point deficit from Oklahoma in the second half but wasn't remembering that it was with a 22-0 run. Hoping they can do the same this year but could do without the 20 point deficits to win that ISU has found themselves in several times in the last two seasons.

What in the hell are you even replying to?

No one even mentioned ISU in this thread. We lost, shame. But we are 5-0 in conference and that's what concerns us.
"As far for Iowa giving the game away to ISU" this entire paragraph was in reply to a statement nobody except yourself ever made. You wonder why you Get called little brother when your post screams "hey guys! We play basketball too!"

I think the Iowa losses have impacted the MSU swagger a bit. Doubt has crept into their minds. I think we have also provided a blueprint for how to play Purdue.

Just like fball, Big 12 b ball is over rated, remember f ball beginning of year and almost everyone in the conference was rated, SOS were inflated because of this but bowl season came again and where was the powerful Big 12, on the bottom, too bad March comes again but maybe Kansas can save the leagues butt before they move to the Bib 10.

just because a ream isn't ranked doesn't mean it's easy to beat them. Especially on the road.

stop using your hands on defense and work a little like using your feet would be a start for MSU....didn't see the whole 2nd half cause needed to head to CHA...did see McQ double hand check...25 feet from the basket..got called & Izzo was stunned....Tom the rules have changed ..get with the program.

If you want to see how to defend using your feet... watch Gesell against Michigan & when he had Walton...that's how to defend using your feet. Izzo has a few guys who are defensively lazy...would that be also soft?

Ha!!!!!! Sparty w be 20 at best this week. They're not good, 8 seed in NCAA.

The scary thing is, when they are seeded that low, they usually go on a run and make the at least the elite 8. They rarely miss the sweet 16, but a couple of times they have been a lower seed and took it all the way to the elite 8.

I know they are going through their struggles, but they will get it figured it out and be a tough out come March.
