The degree of anti Iowa and anti Spencer PR led by Smalls, Mineo, and PSU trolls (and FLO to some degree) is quite impressive. Intentionally dishonest - Slanderous even. If only the Cesspool had a moderator, some of this could be avoided.

This site used to be a great resource for Iowa wrestling information. The PSU trolls and trash talking Smalls have Mede it a true cesspool. The biggest embarrassment on this site is not the occasional classless post, but the lack of a moderator. Makes me embarrassed that spend time reading this crap or that I pay Rivals for their info. Refuse to pay Rokfin. I need to cancel my Rivals subscription.

Indeed. Said it before, but there seemed to be hope that this board might actually be moderated at first. Now, I swear they re-hired Zierath. Absolute PSU troll-filled disaster.

Spencer is easily top 5 in talent. Because he was injured, his results are much less impressive than they could have been. Yet he is a two time Hodge winner. He hasn’t had the chance to prove it on the senior national stage yet.

WRT Spencer, FLO intentionally and dishonesty said he wasn’t sick when he had his viral illness, always say he isn’t hurt (even during his most recent NCAAs and US Open when he obviously was). FLO and PSU haters calling Spencer a quitter for not finishing NCAAs when he was obviously injured and, at that point, trying to avoid further injury so he could be healthier for the Open. And it still wasn’t enough time.

Enough already. Quit the lies. Quit the slander.
The moderator allows the lies and slander and tasteless posts to continue and may be the biggest contributor to the anti Iowa PR out there. Truly disgusting.

Because ive been reading rivals for yrs. Some good stuff some garbage. Most have foggy goggles on when it comes to this topic. Short memories too. There isnt one guy on that top 11/12 SL would beat if they were equal sizes. Not one.

First theres not one guy on that list that SL would get a 10 pt lead on. So when deep in the second or in 3rd period when SL is struggling to breathe or move his feet, everyone on list would lite him up deep in match. Hell thats was brands, ironside, metcalf, wrll i guess all of them that constantly scored more in 3rd than previous periods. No chance SL beats any of them head to head. And most those guys had tougher competition.

Thats just one of several reasons why.

You should go back to just reading the forum.

As far as the moderator situation….. I actually moved to the new site with Tom and Blair but the wrestling board there is pretty lame so far

this has always been the best Iowa wrestling board because of the people who have posted here for years…..until or unless the true Iowa fans on here move on it’s still the best board albeit the PSU trolls are doing their best to ruin it

I give everyone a pretty good chance before ignoring them but trying to read a thread where half the posts are people arguing with people you have on ignore isn’t much better…..it gets way old

Help me out here....Why is it obvious that you know more than most everyone here?

Actually there are many here who know a great deal about wrestling and have seen a great deal of Iowa wrestling and, like Tom Brands, they do not share your opinion regarding Spencer Lee. We've heard your logic and it doesn't stand up to either the history or the eye test where SL is concerned.

I think the people close to SL know that when he is healthy and firing on all cylinders, he is beyond incredible and maybe the best ever -period. However, results and injuries have to count for something. To say a guy is the GOAT if he wasn't injured is like saying that a guy is in good shape for his age.
Let's hope he can get healthy and we will be saying he is the best international wrestler ever. That would be fun to see. It was painful to watch him this past year. He was definitely a shell of his former self.

I hope he gives it all the time he needs and hope rushing back didn’t cause reinjury……. it would be a shame not to see healthy Spencer olympic run…….it’s actually painful to watch him try wrestling without his knees and conditioning where they need to be

and that attests to how good he is…… he doesn’t get caught in semis he likely wins his 4th but that wasn’t his best version obviously

I hope he gets healthy enough to compete internationally and win gold medals……… also hope he can walk when he’s older
