I’m sure their fans both think they deserve more than Washington, but their boards won’t let me on to see what they’re saying. Should be a good Alamo Bowl, though. And San Antonio is good trip for them.

I think every team that doesn’t make its CCG should be viewed as if it has another loss to the winner of the CCG. That’s the only way to make it apples to apples comparing them with teams that were REWARDED by playing the CCG. I swear the committee protected CCG losers (like Iowa) in the past, so not sure why they abandoned that?

So this year Alabama should have been viewed as 11-2 with losses to Auburn and Georgia and Washington should be viewed as 10-3 with a loss to USC.

TCU only lost to two teams. That's just one reason it was insane for the Big XII to have a "championship" game. Everybody played everybody else, and Oklahoma had the best record. End of story.

Do you assess a loss to the rest of the SEC, or just Alabama? Does Iowa and the rest of the B1G (sans OSU & Wisconsin) get assessed a loss to?

Not officially of course, but as far as consideration for CFP and NY6, yes as Oprah would say, “Everybody gets a loss!”

From the moment they announced it I’ve been hoping the needless B12 CCG would cost the conference. But I was hoping it would cost them a CFP spot, not deserved NY6 spot.

Add Houston and Cincinnati, make divisions, and play a CCG off of that.

End of story.
