Starbucks hates Mr. Jesus Man!!!

Pulled this quote from the article:

In response to Feuerstein's video, Starbucks said in a statement Sunday that it tries "to create a culture of belonging, inclusion and diversity."

How do you create a culture of belonging, inclusion and diversity by excluding a Christmas themed holiday? If you want a message like that you have to include everyone not exclude people.

This entire thing is definitely a first world problem.

No guff, Chet...

Honestly, who cares what someone puts or doesn't put on a coffee cup? I feel bad for my children, because someday I will become a senile old man and not have to put up with it. They will have to live in a world of thin skinned crybabies always looking for an excuse to protest.

I'm talking about both liberals and conservatives. Black Lives Matter and Conservative Christian groups do nothing but fan the flames of tension in this country and divide it even more.

Life's too short to be angry all of the time.

I've been the Starbucks maybe three or four times. Coffee was okay, but not anywhere near worth what they charge for it.

This.

If you don't like the cup, then don't buy the coffee.

It's a free country.

What about all of the people who celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc, etc, etc. Do they not count? Maybe they'd like to have a cup designed for their holiday since they don't celebrate Christmas. Maybe those people who do celebrate Christmas can grow a spine and not think everyone is out to ruin their holiday because of how a private sector company designs their cup around the holidays.

Because it's cool to say your tastes are way to delicate and upscale for the peasant Starbucks drink. It's like the person who goes out of their way to tell you they aren't on Facebook. We get it you're so counter culture cool you don't have time for the mindless mainstream corporate crap the rest of us sheeple heard to. Also I'm sure the Starbucks people were sitting around going. Hey, how can we have a holiday cup that won't piss anyone off? I know just make it red. I think the color blind community should do a sit in and demand the Starbucks CEO step down.

Go ahead and make the cup.

Put all the holiday symbols on the same cup - now that one would be one that was inclusive.

You are trying to hard not to see why a statement that says we don't want to offend anyone so we are going to offend some is not correct. We have come to think that inclusive means excluding.

Damn cups are normally dark green. A Christmas-y color already. Should have just left well enough alone.

How entitled are you? You need a corporation to have your chosen holiday on its coffee cups? Read that again - You need a corporation to have your chosen holiday on its coffee cups? Man up... for god's sake.

Not really an exaggeration. Their regular coffee tastes like they took dirt, baked it at 450 for a few days, then strained water through it.

I do like some of their whole bean stuff, though.

I'm not ripping you, but what is your preferred brand?

Man up and drink your coffee from a cup that might have a Christmas tree on it. Oh the horror of having to do that how would you every survive probably leave you scared for life.

Yeah, a PAGAN Christmas tree. Celebrate Saturnalia, baby. To hell with Jesus. The only thing we can be fairly sure of about the time of Jesus' birth is that it almost certainly was NOT in December, let alone Dec 25. More likely sometime in September. Maybe Labor Day should be Christmas Day. Are you celebrating the 1st Monday in September properly? If not, you're not a Christian you heathen SOB.

To be fair, only the ditziest, most looney 1% of Christians seem to be on board with this complaint. So we might as well have a thread titled "Stupid people are dumb!"

As far SB cups, I only drink coffee from porcelain.

I demand my Christian symbols September thru December and Christmas in July.

Well the ditziest, most loony Christians are the ones who make the most noise. I'd say they account for considerably more than 1%. Fully 40% (maybe more) of Christians are ditzy and loony.

They should offer customers a marker and let them design their own cup for an up charge. That way everyone could feel special.

No offense but if the gheys ever rule the world, we'll be humming (no pun intended) right along. That's brilliant

Worst coffee I've ever had, and too expensive.

Well, you are spoiled by Java House at the hospital.

Man I miss a fresh American Gothic. The coffee at my hospital is garbage. I'd love if they went to Starbucks. Or just something a little better than gas station coffee.

Nah, the vast majority of Christians don't really think about their religion, it's just something in the background. The ones who are REALLY into it are goofy, but even most of them realize the war on Xmas is silly.
