Trying this option out for the first time this year. Planning on getting there around 9 AM. Has anyone done this before? I heard that the lot is more than big enough so you can take as many spots as you want. Whats the glass situation? Is liquor allowed, or only in solo cups? And finally, I might have some other people drop by who aren't tailgating and would walk over to the parking lot, does anyone know if the gate around the fairgrounds is closed? (Such as on Buford Ave?)

I’ve done this numerous times. I can’t think of any kind of crazy restrictions. It cost $10 bucks to park with a free shuttle to and from the game. It’s nice to get out afterwards also. Have a good time. Go Hawks

From Gopher website (we did this a couple of years ago . . .didn't tailgate but plenty were. Great option, not much waiting for a bus and short ride to/from stadium)

  • During the game, these shuttles run every 10 minutes.
  • After the game, these shuttles run continuously until the crowd is clear. After this time, see the Campus Connector information paragraph below.
