Stevenson signs with WWE

If anyone remember Jacob Kasper, who all-Americaned for Duke a couple years ago at the NCAAs, they talked about him wanting to go to the WWE during the telecast IIRC. He and his brother made their debut last night on WWE NXT as the Creed Brothers. His brother was a college wrestler too, just not D1.

As Phineas Taylor Barnum once prophesied (and later appropriated by another celebrated hoax/politician); 'there's one born every minute'.

I was surprised how small Steveson looked standing next to Lesnar in a recent pic. Lesnar is an absolute freak. The roids certainly help. He's a jacked white boy though! Deal with it!

Full time college student, D1 wrestler, and professional wrestling entertainer?

Something's gotta give, imo.

Given that he's only 21, and the Olympics this year were a year late, it would seem like a no-brainer to try for another cycle. He'd only be 24 at the end of it not like 32 or anything.

WWE isn't like a sport like the NFL, in that charisma is what sells. If he's charismatic, the lucrative contract will be there in 3 years all the same, except he might have become one of only what, 3 Americans to win multiple Olympic gold medals?

I personally feel like this is a short-sighted mistake given his age, the shorter cycle, and the fact that losing a step athletically really has no bearing on WWE success like it would in a traditional sport. He'd have likely made enough money over the next 3 years anyway.
But this path might represent the best way to big bucks right now.

He was pretty clear.

He’s getting a paycheck from WWE currently just for signing on the dotted line. He’ll focus on college wrestling this year.

After college there will be Olympic training as well as WWE commitments, I’m guessing.
Ah, thank you.

As much of a specimen Gable may be, is isn't cartoonish yet and will need a Lesnar juicing to be WWE shredded. Unless he is the next Mick Foley/Junkyard Dog body type.
You must have only see JYD when he was a shell of himself in the wwf. Look up a young JYD. He was a beast.
The pic of Brock and Gable flexing, if that’s the one being talked about, was after Gables freshman year. He’s way bigger now. But yeah depending on how big Brock is at a given time he’s giving up 3 or 4 inches and nearly 50lbs. What I think is amazing is look how freaking big Brocks hands are lol.

it’ll be interesting if Gables as dominate this year, while supposedly trying for pro wrestling too, as he was last year. As long as he keeps himself in shape he should still win HW pretty easily.

I don’t think he’s pro-wrestling while in college. I think they paid him a signing bonus and are giving him leeway to be focused on college now.

This interview breaks down his WWE deal and his decision to return to Minnesota.
That was a great interview, thanks for sharing. Never say never, but it sure sounds like he's done with Freestlye and thoughts of more Olympic Gold.

And nobody wanted to answer "is it a rivalry?" in regards to Parris. Thought that was funny.

Very funny. Definitely not a rivalry.

Did Lesnar decide to eliminate his neck altogether or did he just put it away for future use??
