Strategic Petroleum Reserves

This chart shows the amount of reserves we now have in our Strategic Petroleum Reserves here in the U.S., the recent avalanche of depletion being a result of attempts this spring to address high prices by putting oil in the marketplace from our emergency reserves.

We are now back to early 1980’s levels.

Personally, I disagreed with Biden releasing reserves. I don't think it did much to lower gas prices and having a strategic reserve is important.

so at peak levels our strategic reserves were equivalent to how many weeks worth without additional supply?
