Surprised that more former players haven't come out to publicly support Ferentz

I'm rewatching "Parks and Recreation" and just saw the episode where Leslie Knope, as a Pawnee City Council Member, tries to add fluoride to the water. She draws idiotic opposition from the local Sweetums factory that has helped Pawnee become the fourth most obese city in America and from another council member who is a dentist. His opposition, as he loudly explains to a public forum, is based on the potential loss of patients if fluoride is added to the water. He mixes that fact in with a bunch of gibberish, and the crowd goes wild.

Later, Knope says, "All I have on my side are facts and science. And everybody hates facts and science."

Who knew "Parks and Rec" was foreshadowing the demise of American democracy.
And another piece of the puzzle falls into place...

BLM brings awareness to police brutality, but according to hawkeyereport.com football message board, not enough former players speaking up for coach... thanks BLM

Solid take, good perspective 👍

edit to add: btw I love KF, don't think he's racist, thinks he is of highest integrity, AW and KMM are full of shit, but also think BLM cause has merit.
In 2019, 7,484 black people were murdered. Conservatives say 8 unarmed blacks were killed by police, liberals say 13 unarmed blacks were killed.
Regardless of who you believe - BLM is focused on the wrong Black Death problem. It’s like focusing your attention to the annual death rates from lightening strikes and making a national issue out of it.

What makes someone suspicious?
Probably when they have a gun in their waistband, talk about it and then walk around town with it. Or when someone keeps looking around in a store and came in looking about 150 and attempt to leave looking like they gained 65lbs. Or could be when they constantly try to distract the clerk while their friend stuffs a 12 pack into their coat.

stereotyping. It happens a lot. Which is why cops pull up with guns out. When 911 is called and the caller says so and so looks like they have a gun and could rob a store..... When in fact they are walking and have a hood up, that is a problem. It is the responsibility of the cops to keep people save. When society exaggerates a situation it makes it that much harder for them. Yes there are bad cops, but the majority of these things could be stopped with common sense from the public.

Or, it could be a toy gun being played with and someone calls the cops and.... .well you know the rest.

if you want to let your child play with a toy gun that looks as real as a real gun, then maybe you shouldn't be a parent.

Or, in today's world most people understand that "playing" with guns (fake that look real) can land you in a bad position.

Easy way to end all this BS - stop breaking the law. If you do break the law, comply.

1. Don't break the law (this is something society needs to relearn for some reason).
2. If you do break the law, comply.
3. Don't fight it on the streets.
4. Fight it in court.
