Syracuse....

Just read up on the 2015 NCAA ruling against Syracuse and cause of sanctions. There's some pretty lol-worthy stuff.

Kind of like a restaurant failing health code for taking sh*ts in the food and paying critics to say it's delicious. Once word gets out, the health dept shutts down the place for a weekend and suspends their head chef for a few days, calls it good and now can't stop talking about how great the food tastes.

Wish they would've asked Boeheim what he did for the first 1/3 of the season while he was suspended for cheating. Hopefully working with the DA to get his assistant coach a max sentence for molesting little boys. Jim is nothing but pure class.

Virginia's offense doesn't look so hot when it's not going up against that layup line that Clown U put on the floor.

Could this be the year that none of the #1 seeds make the final four? UNC is the sole survivor at this point.

They're going to have to overload on the promos this week to try and make this final 4 compelling no matter who comes out of the North Carolina-Notre Dame game. Especially after last night's Villanova-Kansas game. It felt like to me that was the true national championship game.

What's so odd is this year could have all 4 #1 seeds make it to the elite 8 but not the final 4.

Meh, unless Villanova shoots 70% or better from everywhere against Oklahoma and nobody but Hield scores, that should be a good game.

Syracuse and UNC are both among the top 5 winning-est programs in college basketball. It'll be interesting to see who the general public is pulling for in this one. Will people side with the blue-blooded Tar Heels because they're still bitter that Syracuse got in the tournament in the first place or are just bandwagoners for the top team, or will fans root for Syracuse's Cinderella run to continue?

Exactly. This team was 19-13 and didn't come into the tournament red hot or anything.

Another lesson to Fran and company that it's not how you start or perform in January, it's how you finish. Heck, it looked like Wisky was headed to the NIT when we were ranked #3, and they came a last-minute meltdown away from the Elite Eight. Don't want to hijack this thread, but I don't think it's an accident that the same teams seem to be hot in March year after year - that's a formula that I wish we could figure out.

Syracuse was looking as bad as or worse than Iowa coming into the tourney. They truly got hot IN the tourney.
