Taking back the things you said about Kirk

You like to fantasize about the suffering of others, Sherrman? What's that all about?

No fantasizing. Just find it funny. Some people thought they were pretty smart and turns out it bit them in the butt.

Chances are that they'll never get season tickets again after realizing how nice it can be tailgating at home and not having to fight traffic anymore. I know a few people who are getting to that point.

Wouldn't you want to do all you can do to invite them back? I would think that would be good for the program?

The product the last few years had earned apathy...now things are changing...to KF's credit. The more fans the better...

I think one of the changes this yr. is the involvement and more trusting of his assistant coaches. Kirk mentioned in his PC that LaVar working with the TEs has proved to be very beneficial. He also said in his coaches meetings LaVar has given some good ideas of how to attack certain defenses. He made Brian run coordinator and I believe Davis had a lot of input in having CJ named as starting QB. After 3 yrs. of having basically the same assistants and becoming comfortable with them, Kirk is seeing the rewards of that. I give Ferentz credit for listening and changing.

I was a fan calling for his job because Kirk was never going to change and let go of his control over most of the football operations. He has proven to me that he can change and for the better. I have also changed my mind. I'm glad Ferentz is Iowa's coach and hope he will be for yrs. to come.

All I know is that I have been laughing at all the people that gave up their season tickets because they were sick of a couple below average seasons. I bet it really had to burn seeing Iowa go 12-0 and not being there for it all.

There were plenty of tickets available for every game if they wanted to go. You make it sound like everything was sold out and these people were just dying to get inside the stadium. Anyone that wanted to could have gone to any game.

What I'm laughing at are the people that said for years that anyone that gave up their tickets would automatically have those seats filled by these mythical Iowa fans that had just been waiting patiently for years to buy tickets but never could, or that it would only take a few wins to start the year and everyone would come running back to Kinnick.

Now THAT was funny.

Very true but I know a lot of ex-season ticket holders are kicking themselves. Not all of them obviously, but enough.

Like it or not, those who wanted him out have turned this program around. Kirk realized he was out if he didn't make drastic changes, which he did and look at where we are. I only wish he would have done this a few years earlier.

I guess I don't see the point of this thread.

There's not a goddam thing anybody on this earth can do about past seasons, and the things we asked Kirk and Company to do in the off season, they did.

And still for some, going 12-0 still isn't enough. Kirk apparently needs to rewrite the past for some.

Asinine. My gawd I hate this board sometimes. From the pissy "we don't get any respect from talking head blowhard A or B" to "I want my money back", all it tells me is there are some insufferable posters around these parts.

Iowa is playing for a chance to win the national friggin' championship this coming Saturday. Try to enjoy the moment just once.
