I do hate to see what is happening in Afghanistan and I completely understand troops who feel used and abused, especially to the family of those who lost their lives, fighting a war for 20 years that we were never going to win. At some point we had to leave and I still support us doing it (Although maybe not in the manner we did) but the country itself has got to be willing to fight for who it is at this point. Their entire military had already decided to stand down as soon as the US left, they didn't have the will to fight for their own country. I do hate it, especially for women and members of the LGBTQ community who will likely suffer the most, but I'm not certain what we can do outside of empire building which no one claims they truly want.
