this time Gerry from Nebraska makes a perfect form tackle and gets ejected. That was total crap!
This hit and the hit in the Iowa game were completely different.Horrible call. Not being a homer but it looked like the right call in the Iowa game though.
Did you even read my post?! That's the better question. This hit and the hit in the Iowa game were completely different.
Did you even watch the game?
That was not a perfect tackle. Far from it. Way too high. Hence targeting.
Sorry man, read it wrong. My apologies.Did you even read my post?! That's the better question.
I assume you're talking about his hit in the Iowa game. That was an easy call, shot to the head on a defenseless receiver - that's getting called 10x out of 10.
I can't even believe people are defending the ejection.
Guys, that was a clean tackle. He even broke down to an extent. If you think that was anything but a good clean tackle, you've never played football at a competitive level.
That was a great tackle by Gerry! He did nothing wrong, that is a form tackle.
Im sorry but these hits will happen in football and as officials you have to be able to tell when a player is trying to make a tackle and when a player is trying to light someone up.
Sorry but Gerry did nothing wrong here, the kid lost a half of playing time because these ACC officials couldn't tell the difference.
Oh that explains it if it was ACC refs.... The worst crews in the nation and notoriously bad replay guys.
That was an easy call, shot to the head on a defenseless receiver - that's getting called 10x out of 10.
That was a formless tackle by a hack, i.e. exactly the trash they're trying to remove from the game

blame it on Hollywood for making the movie and the nfl being politically correct and all the tragic , tragic loss of life of guys committing suicide and all that jazz, and it's horrible. it is horrible. there are problems. there are head injuries. but they {in football, they who run football} even in college, and especially in nfl, have to now protect the head at all costs, period. blame political correctness. blame Hollywood. blame the nfl. but it is where we are at now.
I sort of also blame the new Orleans saints for getting busted playing the targeting game a few years ago
well, his head hit first, but he did turn his head, but he can't go low with his head, that's how you get neck injuries and stuff. so I guess the "powers that be" need to invent a bunch of headless robots out there, have the driverless google cars take the headless robots to the game, where they tackle with their shoulders and arms only, because they have no heads. we can then vote from home on who we thought actually won, like "the voice".Better take time to study some game film tomorrow. That was the all time worst call for targeting this season.
no, he lead with his head and the first thing to make contact was his head on the other guy's helmet, he turned it too late and the two heads hit, but I agree he turned away and it was not really targeting, more of an accidental bump sort of like some of the no calls on pass interferenceThere's only one problem and that is Gerry never hit the guy in the head. He swung his head to the side hitting him on the shoulder.
Football ceased to be football today
