Tariffs

Then we don’t need to treat it

Our emergency rooms will continue to treat emergencies, regardless of cause.

As far as fentanyl addiction, I'm not familiar with a comprehensive treatment that society provides on a national scale, currently

It took the War on Drugs 53 years to attempt tariffs. Lets see how this goes.

All this step will do is weaken our relations with our neighboring nations and make everything more expensive for American's. It will also increase poverty, and increase crimes of despair and diseases of despair such as drug and alcohol abuse.

Paramedics won’t need to respond

Methadone clinics

Good, no one is going to wake up until the fires are burning near our own neighborhoods.

We are in the find out phase and I will enjoy the show.
What if Trump wins? The Heritage Foundation wins? At what point do the fires stop if democracy dies?

Harm mitigation with safe use can be effective but you have to have MAT programs which are easily assessable. A lot of safe use programs haven't addressed that gap.

Over 80% of the fentanyl is being brought across by Americans. Maybe stop Americans from bringing drugs into the country could be a starting point.
You don’t think we are? It’s a big border, help is always appreciated from those in the other side of the border

It's BEYOND a stretch to tie tariffs to fentenyl and expect sane citizens to buy that argument.

I wonder who actually writes these Trump social media posts????
Steven Miller, is my guess.

This will fail like most things Trump tries.

What a cluster$&#@.
Why are you so upset

We could have wasted a lot less time if you would have posed this here question before you started this thread.

Tariffs are “destroying” the country?
Do you understand the threats of tariffs curtail corporate spending in research and development, hiring, mergers and acquisition, and pretty much ALL business decisions?

No one likes dealing with the unknown.
Certainly not Big Business.
Trying to play "ignorant" is a bad look.

Be better.

I think when used in combination with other policies can make a difference
The cartel wars ravaging Mexico are being fought primarily with guns, which are illegal in Mexico, purchased in the United States. Would you be ok with Mexico, or another country, enacting tariffs until the United States implemented policies to restrict gun movement?

Honestly, Yes, that sounds great. "Mexico, we will stop the flow of guns entering your country, in return, we want you to secure your side of the border from illegals and drugs.

I like that much better than tariffs. And if Mexico doesn't uphold their end of the deal... then let's talk about tariffs or other measures. But if Mexico wants to do tariffs on our exports as long as we have equal tariffs on imports then fine.

When it comes to treating somebody in an emergency situation it absolutely is. Stop.
So we just legalized all drugs, 2 911 calls come in there is only one ambulance, one is for a 49 year old overdose and the other is for a 32 year old with anaphylaxis. Who gets the paramedic?

The one who called first probably? Who makes that decision?

You can get 911 calls at the same time, great question, really puts us in a really bad situation with the legalization of drugs
Aren't most first responders trained to handle most emergencies? Let's say there's only one ambulance available, couldn't they send a fire truck or policeman at the very least they could take one of them to the hospital?
