I'm sure it's just a team rule along with holding your fist up on 4th down.

Agreed. Good little stadium. Good infrastructure. Good fans as long as you aren't bothered by the 'Who Hates Iowa' chant. I didn't seem to know where the good tailgating spots are.

if they filled in the other end zone, they could increase capacity to 80,000, which is interesting

the good tailgating spots? you have to buy a pass in advance, thru StubHub I believe; otherwise, most go to the Fairgrounds, where it costs $10/vehicle and there is then a free shuttle with just one stop: to the stadium and back to the Fairgrounds

Agree. Other than BWW being way over capacity, tailgating around the stadium is non existent. They had an alumni gathering inside Williams Arena. I got denied when I tried to get in.

Fun trip especially when Minnesota sucks.

It's a great little stadium. A ton of legroom and accessible restrooms with short waits. It's already in it's 10th year and 40% of the fans had to be Hawks. The four corners were packed where the Hawk fans were, while the good seats were so sparse you could read the lettering as if no one was there. Obviously they make up the revenue with the 11.00 dollar beers..........

That ain't happenin'. The stadium was designed with the option to add another deck on top, which would bring the capacity to 80,000. But they can't even fill 50,805 so that's not in the cards.

They have zero need for more capacity. They can't fill it now.
50k is more than enough seats for minny.

As for the stadium itself, l found it pretty decent and relatively fan friendly/convenient.
The minny fans that I've come across there have been about an average mix relative to my B1G experiences, some douchey but most fine.

We had approx. 36 inches of hip room per seat in section 101. Our group of 4 only filled up 3 of our 4 seats with room in between!

Agree. We tailgated in the fairgrounds lot. Lots of room for games, food, drinking. And the bus delivered us to the front door!! The fans were great as well.

The word "docile" comes to mind...other than the students
