Butch I'm definitely not trying to start anything. Just noticed he didn't have Hawk commit anymore and he unpinned his verbal.
Hope he knows how bad Hawk Nation wants him in Iowa City but definitely don't want people bugging him and/or asking him on twitter. One, you can't reach out to recruits and two, it's mid season - let him focus on a state title!

I hope it's nothing. Gavin is a monster recruit in his own right, he doesn't take a backseat to anybody. I hope he doesn't feel that because he committed early that he's not getting the proper attention that a recruit of his stature deserves. I'm as excited about Gavin as I am about anyone.

Hell, after all the knee surgeries, I can't even get in the referees position. Was trying tonight while wrapping the kids gifts. Wasn't working. If anyone wants to get me a xmas gift I'll take those fancy shin guards from baseball that have the big pad in the calf so you don't have to have your knees bent as far.

On Twitter...removed all references to Iowa and put a highlight video up. This sucks...under Terry, Gavin would have flourished.
Idk about the highlight video.. Teasdale has posted it in his bio before. Spencer has a similar one made for him. Some guy made a bunch of highlight videos for the best HS wrestlers, including one for Spencer and Gavin. I believe Spencer has his same highlight in his instagram bio.

Hehe...Kids these days. The breakup usually occurs on social media. With both Renteria and Mejia...the same thing happened. Next day, it was announced. So yea, when all of the references are removed, I tend to worry.
unfortunately I agree with this thought process - in Wrestling / Football / Basketball and whatever. But it does not hurt to hope - and some people make big dollars arguing this nonsense. But it does hurt Iowa in that better guys seem to wonder who is paying more in "fringe benefits" to other guys.
This kid is great! He just placed a #gohawks after his highlight reel. He'll fit right in with the Hawks. Thanks for keeping us on our toes. Much respect.
I get it...with it being an Iowa commit we're discussing, it's easy for me to sit back and say that everyone's reading too much into it. If this were with RBY or Wittlake I'd probably be reacting like many on this board!
