It's a bad matchup for Purdue. Niang can hang with Swanigan inside, but Swanigan won't be able to guard Niang on the perimeter. Morris is an NBA-caliber point guard that can also play D when he's motivated -- big mismatch here. McKay is athletic and he has a good chance to slow down Hammons.
What is funny is that isu fans can't even see where isu behavior is seen as douchy. The rest of the planet can see it but not isu grads. What would you call George Niang grabbing an opponents genitals? I say that is being a douche. isu grads on the other hand see it and call him team captain.

So the 2 times isu has had a high seed they peed down their leg and isu grad is proud of it.

I think officiating will play a big role in this game. If they call it tight and every drive and shot inside is a foul it will be really tough for ISU to win. If they hold their whistles and allow for a more fluid, fast-paced game I like ISU's chances.
Also, if you look back at games ISU has lost this year, the big men generally haven't killed them. It has been guys like Graham, Hield, Page, Washpun, Taylor, Uthoff that light it up when ISU doubles the post to stay out of foul trouble.

That is funny. The outcome of the game according to isu grad will be on the officials. Usually isu grads waits until after the game to blame the officials.
This was a stupid reply, you don't understand BB and shouldn't try. I won't blame refs for a loss but if you don't understand how officiating influences a game, that's a "you" problem. A short bench doesn't want a ticky tack 20+ fouls a piece kind of game. Nor do the people watching the game.

Or, "ISU Hoops - #3 Seed - 2001." From your post, it appears there may be a market in Ames for those shirts.
And, hey, let's face facts ... ISU can be mentioned in the same breath as Duke, Syracuse and Georgetown as it pertains to NCAA tournament history. Unfortunately, ISU isn't in the discussion with these schools when it comes to tournament successes. They all share the distinction of schools that have lost in first round as both a #2 and a #3 seed. But, take solace, South Carolina has also lost in the first round as a #2 and a #3 and ISU has a stronger hoops history than the Gamecocks. You've got that going for you.
Good luck to ISU in the tournament. The road to Chicago should be an easy one. A #4 seed should kill Iona. I've read your posts and other ISU fan posts all year about how the B1G sucks, so a #4 seed from the Big 12 should destroy the #5 seed from the B1G.
Once in Chicago, ISU fans will turn the UC into Hilton East, right? And, if my ISU fan buddies are correct, UVA is the weakest #1 seed and they'll have to play in a hostile environment in Chicago. I'm thinking that ISU is a shoo-in to get to the Elite Eight. No brainer, right?
And, although the Big 12 looks down on the B1G, you'd better hope that ISU doesn't face MSU in the Elite Eight. If you thought that Aaron Craft received favorable treatment from the referees, just wait until you see what leniency is given to Denzel Valentine. I'll put good money on MSU not losing in Chicago - to any team.

So go demand that the rules be changed to be exactly the way isu wants them to be. Isn't that what your AD is always screaming about? How unfair it is to isu when game officials call the game according to the rules? Huge question though will these rules need to changed from game to game for isu to compete or should we make them up as each game goes along?

I would guess Iowa State will play a lot of zone vs purdue. If Purdue makes some 3's they have a good shot. The biggest problem for Iowa State will be that Purdue hammers them on the glass. Swanigan, Hammonds and Hawes are 3 of the better bigs in all of college basketball.
