Terrible officiating makes these games practically unwatchable...

I'll continue to say it, NCAA basketball officiating is horrible. It's inexcusable that the officiating at the P5 level is that bad. I mean, it would be acceptable at the Iowa Class 1A level, but in college? No, not even close.

Why the knock on Iowa's mental toughness? I think they showed plenty down the stretch with the cheap shots and the terrible officiating.

At the end of the game they did. Not when I posted this. Their frustration on offense carried over to the defensive end.

I get it, but why project how they were playing at that time to the end if the game? I figured JBo would step up, although I didn't expect the explosion he had. Still, this team has shown after that mudseason stretch that they're tough. And they did this without Joe W. and Jack Nunge and with CJ still not fully healthy. I mean, do you ever cut this team any slack at all?

Fox guy claiming Wisconsin got ripped off with 3 calls going against them and then Jackson says yes, because his kid played for Wisconsin.

I guess everyone sees what the want to see.

I will fully acknowledge that Trice's 5th found wasn't a foul. Davison's hook and hold was obvious and he should never get the benefit of the doubt. The out of bounds, at best (for Wisconsin) should have been called a jump ball, which, because of the ridiculous jump ball call on the in bounds play, would have given the ball to Iowa anyway.

Yes, it was a foul. He was grabbing JBo's jersey.

There were bad calls both ways, but I thought the constant reviews hurt Iowa's momentum on several occasions. I've never seen that many reviews in any game I've watched. It had to be about 8 over the course of the game. If you're going to the monitor that often because you can't follow the action live, you shouldn't be officiating.

Bo Boroski should never be allowed to do an Iowa game ever.

For the record, I blame Iowa for how this game has gone so far. As many veterans as they have on this team, they are not very mentally tough.

Still, the officiating is garbage.
Now that the slugfest is over we can move on to a less physical sport and see the Bi Ten Wrestling championships. Jaysus that last few minutes was out of control. Get healthy Joe and let’s go!!!!

Hell the last 49 seconds took 15 minutes. Carstensen and Borowski are a couple of clowns. They should get rid of replay except for elbows to the head and to check 3 point shots. They miss enough calls anyway so that probably evens out in the end.

Except the "no replay".... Means that it's a common foul on Murray and no call for the hook on Davison.

The "Wisconsin style of basketball" is a big reason for the numerous reviews and frustrating flow of the game.

Same officials in a game against almost any other team in the B1G wouldn't have been so unwatchable...

#1 thing Wisconsin does is "muck up" the game

No, he wasn't. He had the back of his hand on JBo as he was going into the screen, then kind of had his hand on JBo's hip as he was going into his shot. There was no grab. And full speed it looked WAY less like a foul than slowed down.

The officiating was brutal all the way around, but the review system needs a major overhaul. Give each coach one challenge per half. Get them both right and get an additional. If the play can’t be deciphered in 30 seconds the play stands as called. It’s gotten completely out of hand.

LOL at Wisconsin fans finding one call in the whole game to complain about. 🤣

I hate to get on the officials, and I rarely do, but that was garbage officiating.

Obviously Boroski’s one of the worst. But in the last few years, Carstensen is right there with him.

Yeah, almost all of their complaints are kind of weak. I mean, the out of bounds towards the end? If you slow it down enough, you can tell it touched JBo, but it appears to still be getting touched by the Wisky player. The hook and hold on Davison? What do you call it when a guy has a hold of another players arm while using your arm that has it hooked? The "elbow" that wasn't thrown or came anywhere near the Wisky player?
